Stayed Oct 17, 2025The property was in the country and a distance from Picton. Lovely grounds and very peaceful. The kitchen was well appointed and the kitchen table is a perfect size for catching up with friends. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was nice to have an entrance pass for Sandbanks with the rental.

Stayed Sep 26, 2025Home is very well appointed, comfortable, and was perfectly as advertised. Host shared helpful and valuable information about how to make the most of the included Sand Banks Park car pass, many days before arrival, allowing us to plan and make reservations as soon as the park booking window opened. Fire pit was nice; stop off at any of the dozens of nearby driveway vendors along the way to check-in, to pay 10 cash for a bundle of dry, local wood (don't bring your own - pest migration control efforts depend on you!). It's a 20 minute drive into Picton, and to the park, but it's a nice drive and we used that as a way to explore. Night skies were full of stars - see attached photo, taken from a historical park just 6 minutes down the road.

Stayed Aug 2, 2024Everything was good except for the wifi & internet connection which meant the TV, Netflix, prime etc did not work or our computers! This was a big issue because my husband and my mother had work to do and we had to use our cellular data! Shane came by Saturday morning to check but did not know what the problem was. Said he would check with owner but we never heard back! We went to celebrate by uncle’s 90th birthday so the house was a nice place for everyone to be together but again no wifi or internet which was an inconvenience. This was a pricey place but we understood it was prime time except there should be some kind of discount due to the fact we had to use our cellular data!!
