Come stay at a peaceful, open and airy home on beautiful Mud Island. All the convenience and excitement of downtown is a short drive across a small bridge. There are four bedrooms all upstairs but one is set up as an office. The largest room has a couch and TV for a lounge area. Kitchen has several updates. Separate laundry room and two car garage. Enjoy the sunset on your master bedroom balcony or relaxing front porch swing. There are great amenities to enjoy on Mud Island. Come stay!

A roomy and comfortable house with so much charm! The living room has couch seating for six. This gives way to a kitchen and open floor plan with a dining room table for six as well. Additional seating is at two barstools. There is also a table for eight in the small side yard. Upstairs is a large room with bunk beds of a twin and full below. Also in this room is a couch. A private office is perfect for working remotely or fueling creativity. The next bedroom has a queen bed and is next to a full bath. The master suite has a king bed, dresser and en suite bathroom with a tub and separate shower. Also a walk in closet if you need it! This is also where you will find a relaxing screened porch with seating for three. Below is a front porch swing on the inviting porch. Kitchen has all you need for cooking and dining.
The maximum sleeping capacity is 8 and that would have two people in the full bed and one person on a couch. This also incurs a fee for each guest above 6.

Mud Island is a section of downtown Memphis that has the feel of a quaint neighborhood. You are separated from the hustle of downtown and can take a walk on the path next to the Mississippi River. There is also a small grocery store (Miss Cordelia’s) with a great Deli and a few other amenities on the Island about 5 minutes from the house. Just over the bridge is all the excitement of downtown including Beale Street, Fed Ex Forum, the National Civil Rights Museum, Hanrahan Bridge, Autozone Park, fantastic restaurants and so much more! The home is also less than 10 minutes from St. Jude Hospital and the Medical District.

FYI: The bedroom with the queen bed is next to the utility closet and in the winter you can hear the furnace. It is like a blowing sound. If you have a light or sensitive sleeper intended for that room this would likely not work for them.

We really enjoyed our stay on Mud Island. The house was a close drive to St Jude and in a quiet neighborhood. We loved being able to go for walks by the river and visit Mud Island Park. Peggy made checking in to the house so easy and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had during our stay! Thanks for allowing us to stay!!

We rented this beautiful home to meet our son whom we haven't seen for month's due to his work schedule. We were only a couple of hours from checking into the house and Peggy informed us that there was a problem with the A/C unit. Peggy let us know that she had a technician on the way to check the unit. She offered us a full refund if it could not be fixed. My wife and I were driving and could do anything about finding another rental property. Peggy came through for us the unit was repaired and we had a beautiful weekend with our family. The house was beautiful and well kept. We will definitely rent this property again.

We enjoyed our stay in this home. The ease of check in and check out. We enjoyed the amenities and the location. The MS River is nearby and if you like to walk, jog, or run there are paths for everyone. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

What a great location! There is a cute little market right around the corner, Bass Pro Shop minutes away, along with Beale street, and Graceland. The house was amazing and the beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive and made us feel right at home. Thanks!

We came in for the weekend for UTHSC graduation! The location was great and the house was big enough for all of us to spread out and enjoy. It is also close to everything we wanted to do! The island allowed us a safe place to walk.

Loved being on Mud Island. Convenient to downtown Memphis. The house was spacious and clean, just like the pictures. Good restaurants and a market on Mud Island. Definitely want to use this house on future trips to Memphis.

Modern, attractive, well-maintained house conveniently located to all the Memphis attractions and local shopping/dining at Harbor Town. Wish we had been given more information about maintaining evenly distributed a/c in the house, it was a challenge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loved look and location. Didnt realize all sleeping accommodations upstairs, so tuff for those of us with creaky knees and arthritis. Beds were not the best for old bones either. It was a lovely home with great porches and patio. Would be great for a family but these old gals will be looking for a single story next time we stay. Peggy was very responsive to our request to change smoke alarm battery when it went off, but took the cleaner a few hours to show up and do it. Overall a lovely time in a lovely home.

When staying at VRBO’s I like for them to feel like a home away from home. This is it! This cute home was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated. Location was perfect- away from city life but close enough to visit tourist attractions. Would recommended Peggy’s place in a heart beat.

Loved the house. Very large and perfect for a family. The location cannot be beat and the neighborhood is incredibly safe, especially for downtown Memphis. Green belt bike path and walkway is just along the river and easy access. Only small issues: microwave shuts off after three consecutive uses, the dishwasher is old and the door slams open, upstairs floor has damage and gives quite a lot, some lights and light switches don’t work or have no bulbs. Overall wonderful place and great stay. Peggy was also so helpful when we had issues with

My wife Cindy was at the house the 1st night. She was anxious and upset about the upstairs tub gushing water when she walked in. It was loud and worrisome of how much water was being lost. The combination of not having the certainty that the problem would be fixed that day and the host suggesting she go to another house in a bad neighborhood by herself made things worse for her. She was alone, does not drive well at night, and very afraid. At @8pm, she went to a hotel and did not stay at the house last night. The dryer also did not work and we were told that it could not be fixed during our stay. I am requesting a credit for the first night.
