Memphis, Tennessee
Come stay at a peaceful, open and airy home on beautiful Mud Island. All the convenience and excitement of downtown is a short drive across a small bridge. There are four bedrooms all upstairs but one is set up as an office. The largest room has a couch and TV for a lounge area. Kitchen has several updates. Separate laundry room and two car garage. Enjoy the sunset on your master bedroom balcony or relaxing front porch swing. There are great amenities to enjoy on Mud Island. Come stay!
A roomy and comfortable house with so much charm! The living room has couch seating for six. This gives way to a kitchen and open floor plan with a dining room table for six as well. Additional seating is at two barstools. There is also a table for eight in the small side yard. Upstairs is a large room with bunk beds of a twin and full below. Also in this room is a couch. A private office is perfect for working remotely or fueling creativity. The next bedroom has a queen bed and is next to a full bath. The master suite has a king bed, dresser and en suite bathroom with a tub and separate shower. Also a walk in closet if you need it! This is also where you will find a relaxing screened porch with seating for three. Below is a front porch swing on the inviting porch. Kitchen has all you need for cooking and dining.
The maximum sleeping capacity is 8 and that would have two people in the full bed and one person on a couch. This also incurs a fee for each guest above 6.
Mud Island is a section of downtown Memphis that has the feel of a quaint neighborhood. You are separated from the hustle of downtown and can take a walk on the path next to the Mississippi River. There is also a small grocery store (Miss Cordelia’s) with a great Deli and a few other amenities on the Island about 5 minutes from the house. Just over the bridge is all the excitement of downtown including Beale Street, Fed Ex Forum, the National Civil Rights Museum, Hanrahan Bridge, Autozone Park, fantastic restaurants and so much more! The home is also less than 10 minutes from St. Jude Hospital and the Medical District.
FYI: The bedroom with the queen bed is next to the utility closet and in the winter you can hear the furnace. It is like a blowing sound. If you have a light or sensitive sleeper intended for that room this would likely not work for them.
We had a great time staying in this Mud Island home. We appreciated the location and the value. We hope to stay here again when we visit our daughter who also lives on Mud Island.
Great place in a calm neighbourhood
It was great place to stay!
Owner is very easy to work with. Neighborhood is nice and safe. House only has one TV….would be nice to have in bedrooms and bonus room. Beds uncomfortable and low.
Location was great and felt safe along with enough room to share with co-workers.
Lovely home and close to a walking trail and wonderful market.
Clean, pleasant enclave location with easy N / S access - Very safe, a trail parallels the Mississippi River just West of the property, for active folks -
This house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is very safe and close to Beale Street and most of the Memphis attractions. We will definitely pick this rental when we return to Memphis again.
Great location
The property is beautiful inside and out. It’s located in a very nice suburban subdivision very close to the Mississippi River and Downtown Memphis area. This was my first time visiting Memphis as I wanted a quick weekend getaway for my kids and I. The property was so beautiful and cozy, that my kids did not want to leave and go venture out to see what Memphis had to offe ?.
Very nice house in an amazing area!! Really good time
The property was exquisite. Fresh and clean. The beds were so comfortable like I was sleeping on a cloud. The only thing that I would add is to place a television upstairs. However I would stay here again and again.
Fantastic location, excellent neighbourhood and super close to the centre with Ubers only being a 10min drive. Beale Street at night is an absolute must and don’t forget to visit the ducks in Peabodys……. Unique
We had a two night stay on our way to Gulf Shores. Beautiful neighborhood and cute house! Peggy was very responsive to our questions. It was a great house for our family of 5 - the bunk bed room was great for our younger two and our oldest had his own room which he really appreciated! The master bedroom with the en suite was great for my husband and me. We would definitely stay again!
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly AND recommend it highly
