Refreshed Oceanfront Beach House with two Master Suites

This comfortable three-bedroom house provided a great view, nice beds, and fantastic views of the ocean. Stairs up to the living room and kitchen were a challenge for our toddler.

Roomy for a family to stay together. Nice walk to the beach! everything well stocked but very low end on the furnishings, bedding, rugs (old), toiletries. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and basic cooking items. The drive to the area from Monterey is about 20 minutes but if you want a very quiet beach getaway, this is pretty good.

This property was great! We love Monterey dunes colony. Would book again!

We have been staying at various homes at Monterey Dunes for many years. We always enjoy our stay. This particular home has a great view and the kitchen is well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Very close to the pool and tennis courts!

Relaxing and enjoying the beach

They had severe weather the week before we arrived, and the shoreline access was closed off due to shore erosion. I was unaware of this when booking, but we dealt with it. We learned a lot about California Properties that are built on Sand Dunes, and how quickly the shoreline could erode. I'm amazed they were ever allowed to build this facility, considering the sandy location, and no shoreline protection. Standing on the beach, you can look for miles both directions. Beautiful setting, we were just disappointed at the access.

We had an extraordinary stay! Erin is an incredibly responsive and accommodating host, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The house is super comfortable, perfect for relaxing and feeling at home. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, ideal for preparing great meals with everything you need. The bedding is high quality, ensuring restful nights. And the exceptional view... truly a feast for the eyes! We will definitely be back! Thank you again, Erin, for this wonderful getaway.

Monterey Dunes is a beautiful location that is quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle in the Monterey area. It is the perfect location to easily visit tourist areas of Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel By The Sea. We loved listening to the ocean from the unit. We watched wild bunnies scampering about the property and ocean front. The view was spectacular and sitting with my feet up enjoying the ocean view from the deck was an absolute highlight of our trip. Sunsets were spectacular!! The unit is well stocked with everything you would need. It was helpful to also have access to an additional helpful item in the garage, specifically the wagon to help transport luggage and such to the unit. That was appreciated to find! The furniture is comfortable and extras of the beach towels (although we didn’t use, but nice to see avail) and blankets while sitting in the living room were nice to add comfort and convenience. Great telescope to catch ocean life and boats out on the water was a great addition. I have a bidet in my own home and when I travel it is a hygiene item I miss, I was surprised and very happy to find the master bath equipped with one. (Should be a standard in the US!!)
