Property is true to the listing. Very spacious house that hosted our family of 9 and two dogs comfortably. The community is easily walkable and family friendly. There were two paddle boards, 2 bikes, lots of games, some fishing and crabbing items and a few beach umbrellas to use. Crabbing and paddling in the bay were a big hit. The house did not have beach/pool towels so be prepared. Overall a beautiful community and comfortable home.

Great location. House is well stocked. We would highly recommend.

Great location! I had almost the entire neighborhood to myself. Easy in and out. Very clean. The sunsets are amazing!

We enjoyed staying here off the regular summer season. The houses are super close together and I imagine in the summer you feel quite literally “on top” of your neighbor. If you have a boat it’s a great community. If you want to go to the beach every day I would find something over the bridge in Nags Head. There are lots of hidden fees for this rental (as others have pointed out). There was a pet fee, but I just called the rental company and told them we were not bringing pets and they removed the fee from my final bill. Speaking of pets the house did smell like wet dog when we first got there- I suspect it had been closed up for a while- but it aired itself out after a short time. And my not-so-great rating for cleanliness was due to cobwebs everywhere and the bottom floor where the pool table was looked like it had not been cleaned in months. I cleaned it myself. Bathrooms, bedrooms, main living area and kitchen were clean. The rental staff was great and flexible with our arrival and departure times. Last thing, we ate at the restaurant at the marina and it was amazing. Easy walk for some really great food.

We were all very pleased with the property. It was perfect for our needs with one bedroom on the main floor. It was very clean and we felt safe with the security at the resort.

Had a great time staying in Pirate’s Cove. We stayed with friends and the house laid out perfectly so each family had their own private space. The view was incredible and a perfect place for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The house was well stocked to cook and just enjoy the house. The neighborhood was awesome and we room full advantage of the playground and tennis courts. Bring able to keep the boat behind the house was awesome, made it so easy to go fishing or for a quick boat ride. Both the town on Manteo and Nags Head were great to explore and so easy to get to. We cannot wait to come back in the Spring!

Overall, this VRBO in Manteo was very nice. The sunsets and even sunrises were beautiful. Although the property was listed for a decent nightly rate, the additional fees were very hefty. The homes in Pirate Cove are right on top of each other, maybe 10ft in between each home. So when you’re on the back deck or in the hot tub, your neighbors can see you. Limited privacy. The property can only fit 2 cars. It has a very tight driveway, which made it hard to load our beach supplies and surfboards. The drive over to Jeanettes Pier for beach access is great! It’s a short drive and has restrooms.

Got this place for my brothers and I,. We haven't spent any real time together since we served in the US Military. It was an awesome time, being able to walk out the back door, take about 10 steps and throw your fishing line in the water. We spent hours fishing and catching up. Rented jet skis and parasailing was right across the bridge. Everything was in close proximity. We even rented a golf cart from OBX Buggies so we could enjoy all that Pirates Cove had to offer. I could go on about how beautiful it all was, but I'm a leave a little something for the mind to wonder. If you need relaxation or just want a really good time, this is your place to stay. Don't hesitate, find your dates and book today. Promise... you won't be disappointed!!

Open area of dining, kitchen, family room to views of marsh n canal. Bright, clean and welcoming! I would stay here again. Only irritation is getting into driveway. A island of vegetation totally obstructs driveways of 3-4 houses. A nusence for decoration purpose only. Poor design
