CLEAN AND HOMEY
The bed mattress is like a bird's nest, needs to be replaced.
Clean and well stocked! The rainbow room was spacious, very clean, and well stocked to make us feel at home. It was also secure. No-contact check in was easy, yet personable. We were able to communicate simply with hostess at any time. It’s about 20-minutes west of Manistee and within 10-15 minutes of restaurants in Brethren, Wellston, and Irons. If you are going to hike the North Country Trial, the railhead is about 5- minutes away. There are also plenty of opportunities for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking in the area. If you are an outdoor enthusiast ir intentionally looking to get away from the city, this is a great landing spot!
My husband and I were so comfortable staying here...it was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. We are looking forward to another stay here!
Comfortable and homey. A nice place to come back to after a long day of sight seeing. A night light would be nice to help navigate to the bathroom at night. A lower mirror for shorter people is needed. I could only see the top half of my head in the bathroom mirror.
Very comfortable. The only thing we wanted but couldn't find was some Tea for in the morning. Other than that a very nice place and everything worked as it should.
Stayed here with my 2 teenage boys. Had one of the larger rooms with a full kitchen. It is close to Tippy Damn and the Little River Casino. I talked to the house keeper and she gave us all kinds of good places to check out. The beds were comfortable. We would stay again.
Great location, very easy to find well ,nice layout
We only stayed one night in the Rainbow Trout Room. Very comfortable- clean- had everything you could need. We will definitely return/reccomend. Wish we would have had the time to stay longer! The location is easy to find yet not in the middle if town! Great Experience!

This is my third year staying here and I love this property! First time in the rainbow room and it’s so cute and spacious. Dublin general store is minutes away and beautiful beaches are only 20ish minutes away. Can’t beat location and the price.
The rainbow room was awesome. We had great neighbors and fun time around the fire pit!
We love Black Bear! Our favorite with place. All the amenities of home!
This property is absolutely amazing. We love this place and have full intentions to booking the Rainbow room every year for our girls get away!!! Room is huge and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. She even has a welcome snack basket! Can't wait to go back next year!
This is our 3rd stay at the Black Bear Inn. It is in a great location for our needs and we love having a kitchen to cook all of our meals.
This was the third time we stayed at this property. We will be back again next year. The room we had was as big as an apartment. Very comfortable.
We loved our stay here. The place was very clean lots of space. They had corn hole boards and horse shoes. Staff checked in on us and were very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
We were pleasantly surprised to find a full kitchen with dishes and cookware. I also appreciate the honesty of the owner in attempting to contact me when I had left my Raycon Earbuds behind to try and return them to me. I would definitely recommend Vrbo and the Black Bear Inn to others. The only thing that could be clearer is what the combination to room was.
Loved the places' cozy cabin feel. Noticed the first night that our bed was broke and they came out to replace it that day. Amazing customer service. Would definitely stay again.
This is our 2nd time staying here, and we will be back! Everything was just as described. It is great having a kitchen to cook our own meals. The owner is super responsive, which is amazing. Due to high winds, the interest went out. She took care of it right away, which was super appreciated.
Close to fish, canoe, nature walks. 20 minutes from a Meijer and Lake Michigan. A perfect balance to re-energize life.
The Rainbow room was perfect for my husband and I. Plenty of room and very clean. I appreciated the recycle bins and quick response from the owner when we had a question. We will definitely be back.
