This is a basic, old-school Kiwi bach—no frills, just the way we know and love. It comfortably sleeps two families and is set in a quiet neighbourhood, just a short walk across the road to the lake and swimming at Rainbow Point, or a little further to Wharewaka—a favourite local swimming spot!

The home features a generous second-level balcony, perfect for enjoying lake and mountain views on a sunny day. There’s also a games room on the bottom floor with a pool table and kitchenette—ideal for keeping everyone entertained.

Please note: the lounge does not have blinds or curtains.

You`re close to the popular Lions Walk, a scenic path along the lake edge, and within walking distance to a convenience store, fish n chip shop, and restaurant. A short drive takes you to the 2 Mile Bay boat jetty, and in just 10 minutes, you can be soaking in hot pools or enjoying Taupo`s shops and dining options.

With five bedrooms, two bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and a large heat pump, this home is a great base for your next Taupo holiday.

Please Note: This is a family home and not suitable for more than six adults. An additional guest surcharge applies to more that eight guests.
When making a booking request please include information on the age range of the guests intending to stay and your plans for while you are in Taupō.

We have a strict no large group or parties policy, disruption to the neighbours will not be tolerated. If we are notified of parties or illegal activity you will be evicted.

You will be required to complete a check in form prior to arrival (excluding identity verified, Airbnb accounts) which will include a copy of your ID and the details of all guests intending to stay at the property. Failure to complete this form will result in the booking being cancelled.

The guest named on the booking is responsible for the property for the duration of the stay and must take all reasonable care of the house. For breakages or damages be aware that you will be charged for the repair or replacement plus a 10% handling fee. It`s your responsibility to familiarise yourself with potential hazards or situations during the stay and take appropriate care or actions if needed.

All properties must be left reasonably clean and tidy, ensuring all furniture and appliances are returned to where they were. A general service clean is included, but if the property requires extra cleaning, you could be charged an additional $50.00 per hour, this includes BBQ’s, excess rubbish, soiled linen and odour removal.

All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions and House Rules.

    Great location to the lake, however had to park on the road and carrying luggage inside was some walk, there was a boat parked in the drive had no idea prior to arriving, the house smelt musky and hadn’t been aired out for sometime, beds weren’t made properly blankets thrown on, washing machine didn’t work at all, downstairs wasn’t pleasant either ants galore, broken bed all the beds need replacing some are over at least 30years old, the top of house the balcony was dangerous the safety rails are loose and riggly we ended up putting the bbq in front of the rails it was that dangerous if anyone lent up against it chances are would have broken. The bbq was dirty with cockroaches. Ran out of hot water for the size of the house only managed to have 2 showers then there was no hot water, for the remaining of the night this happened round 8pm ish on the first night. Broken outside chairs and pool cues there were broken power points right throughout the property there was no tv reception have to take like a device to get any kind of TV. But the Balcony really needs replacing someone could get really hurt even when it rains the surface is slippery.

    I would definitely rent this house. Close to town, rugby fields, hot springs, convenient to everything.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did find the various instructions in the onsite material as well as online a little confusing and sometimes contradicted each other. Easily fixed. The Harcourts contact staff were great and very friendly.

    The property it is very comfortable but it was a broken base of the bed downstairs also a broken dinning chair, the barbecue was very dirty.

    The living area of the house is great for families but would be a lot more homely with curtains or blinds. Good kitchen and dining area. Some duvets need washing and light bulbs replacing, beds downstairs are low quality. We were a little disappointed given the price.
