Quiet Street 10 minutes from Downtown Indy! #1

It was overall a good space and the sidewalk and steps were cleared of snow which i didnt expect was nice that they did

The pictures on the VRBO sight is definitely NOT what the house looks like. Dirty in drawers/kitchen, washrag hanging on a bed when we arrived. The whole experience was not good.

When I arrived on 9/30/25, I was surprised at the VRBO’s location.All the directions are very good. The duplex has a lot of character and nice decorations. However, the stairway rugs are quite dirty and the bathroom tub was quite disgusting. Not sure if it is dirt or mold.I stayed by myself the first night. My daughter and family arrived on 10/1/25. One of my son-in-law’s relatives, who recently retired from the local police department, texted him the following:“It is not a great area, mostly petty theft like thefts Cadillac converters car break-ins things like that, but there are violent crimes that occur pretty regularly as well. I would say you’re more likely to be the accidental victim of a crime versus target but that is where I used to work and not anywhere I would love for you to be staying.”As a result, we left the rental late on 10/1/25. We are hoping to get a partial refund.

It was a very easy check in and out process. Very quick reply from hosts. Has everything you need. Even had box fans everywhere whick is great if you need white noise. Nice front porch to use, we used it alot with the great weather. Kitchen even had a blender, toaster and water jug with filter in the fridge. Great location for all the things we wanted to do in Indianapolis.

Kitchen had all the essentials we needed. The beds were so comfortable and the home had everything we needed .. the location was great and close to the Indianapolis zoo.. Moe was always available and responsive to our questions .. we will definitely use this home again..

Property was fine. The immediate area is ok, but the surrounding main street is rough. Our biggest complaint about the space was only having 1 bathroom. For the price we paid, I thought the property was a little over priced. The rest of the space was fine.

Although there were only two of us, this place would easily accommodate 6 with 3 separate bedrooms. The living areas were spacious and the kitchen was equipped. The only downside was the single bathroom being upstairs.

We traveled for work this was a very comfortable and clean environment. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for a conference last week and had a great experience! The host communicated clearly, the house was clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet but still close to downtown. I’d definitely stay here again!

Overall impression: Not as maintained and clean as we hoped. However, it is an old house with plenty of room and some quirks. Kitchen skillets were terrible, but nice fridge and microwave.

Stayed here with my children for a sports event and it was perfect. Very spacious and had everything we needed for the stay. Close to downtown without being in the city. Communication from the owners was great.

Property exactly as described. Definitely an older home but very near downtown. Socioeconomics in the area surrounding the home vary, but the hosts are very transparent regarding that fact! The specific street the home is on is quiet and quite nice. Hosts are terrific and very responsive! Any issues I had were addressed promptly and without any pushback from the home owners. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area!

Everything was just as advertised by host Leslie...the property, the neighborhood, and the overall vibe. We appreciated the closeness to downtown and commuted by bike each day to the Indy Crit. Bike paths nearby were a real plus!

Comfortable home on a cute street in a gentrifying neighborhood. It was super convenient and an easy drive to the convention center. Would definitely stay there again.
