Saint Ignace, Michigan
Looking to take a day trip to Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, The Sault Locks, or the world-famous Mystery Spot Our dog friendly home is located just 5 miles West of the Mackinac Bridge off US 2! 3 beds, 2 baths with 1 king bed and 3 twin beds! At the end of a cul-de-sac, this home is in a private setting, with a covered front porch and a large back yard.
My husband, dogs and I needed a place to stay for two nights before heading to Mackinac Island for a week. This house was PERFECT! It was clean, cozy, awesome yard, had everything needed for a stay. Host was great at communication. Answered questions promptly. Very accommodating. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!
Property was clean and well stocked. Was very quiet and close enough to enjoy our time exploring Saint Ignace. Could use some TLC as is rustic reminding me of our old farm house. Would stay again
The House and Location were perfect for our trip cahsing lightnouses and waterfalls in the UP. It was very peaceful just sitting out on the porch. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip up north.
The location of this home was perfect for what we wanted to do for this visit in Michigan. The furniture had been updated from the pictures that were posted from when we booked this home. Very convenient to have the washer and dryer available but wish there were more towels as I felt like I washed them everyday so we all had them available.
Location was great. Neighborhood was good. Easy to get to ferry and several restaurants nearby. House smelled like dogs. Comforters were not clean and had dog hairs on them. We had a great visit but I would not stay at this house again.
Everything was clean!! awesome front porch to sit on and enjoy the peace and quiet will definitely use again
The house was perfectly described. Suited our needs perfectly! We had issue with the Wi-Fi on first day but Courtney was very quick to correct the issue. Upstairs bed in master was very comfortable. Bathrooms were both very nice. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch and reading. Aside from the need for a fresh coat of paint I found it to be very nice. Quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay there again!
Our family (two adults and kids under 10) really enjoyed staying at this property and it was very convenient to use as a base for visiting Mackinac Island. 10 minute drive to St. Ignace, the ferry docks, and bridge. If willing to drive further, can also stay here if visiting Sault Ste Marie (about an hour drive) or Taquhamenon Falls (about 1.5 hour drive). There are also some Lake Michigan beaches with small sand dunes about a 15 minute drive west of here on US 2. House is semi-rustic cabin, located about a mile off US 2, on a paved road. Loved that it had two full bathrooms. First floor bedroom had two single beds, so our girls got to sleep in the same room (which they prefer) and the master bedroom and a third bedroom are on the second floor. The second floor bathroom connects to both the master and third bedroom. While we were there, had no problems with flies or mosquitoes (a UP specialty). Can’t comment on the ac either because it never got above the mid 60’s while we’re there. There are window ac units in the living room and second floor bathroom, plus fans in the house if it gets hot. Some nice bonuses were the play equipment in the backyard and a corn hole game. Fast communication with owner. Overall, excellent stay.
