Quiet rental in the upper town Porto-Vecchio With a beautiful view of the port

The apartment is very spacious and the terrace was magnificent! The view of the harbor was truly enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival! Great location at the foot of the citadel. The lady living upstairs was very kind and helpful with activities and information about how the city works. The host was easily reachable by phone. The smell mentioned in another review didn’t seem that bad to us. Once the windows were opened, there was no issue at all. Moreover, the apartment was extremely clean. The only downside was that it was a bit difficult to find the place at first, but the host was very responsive and helped us locate the apartment. We highly recommend this stay!

Communication with host was excellent and she organised that we were picked up at Figari airport by one of her friends who spoke excellent English. We were gobsmacked. Such kindness. The apartment is rustic and authentic and situated next door to the citadel. Most enjoyable. Airconditioning was welcome. Note there are a lot of steps leading down to the apartment, but manageable. We loved our stay

We absolutely loved staying here. We had everything we needed in the kitchen including a full size fridge freezer. The bathroom was well equipped too and plenty of hot water. The bed was super comfy. Lots of wardrobe space. But the best was the outside area a truly amazing view over the marina. We had dinner at home every night. A short walk into the centre with its selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Bit of a problem finding the place but Lydia came to the rescue and sent someone to get us and show us the way. She did send Google map pictures on the day but on my phone in bright sunshine it was impossible to see them. I'd advice asking for them in advance. Lots of steps to the apartment, not a problem for us but others may find it difficult. Would absolutely recommend Lydia's place. Thank you for the wine Lydia

The apartment is beautifully decorated and very centrally located with 2 mins walking distance from all the restaurants, and night life in Porto Vecchio. Despite of the proximity it is very quiet and peaceful during night. The apartment comes equipped with all the necessary requirements to make your stay comfortable. We rented the property for 6 nights. Beaches like Palombaggia and St. Gulian are fifteen mins drive away. Bonifacio is thirty mins drive away. We had a car park space provided to us and WiFi etc was a good speed too. Lydia was a perfect host and she has decorated the property beautifully. We were in Porto vecchio during the peak of summer and the magnificent terrace had an ant infestation. There were millions of ants everywhere but they were outside on the terrace. I’m sure this was due to the weather. Lydia provided us with a spray to keep the ants away. Once we sorted the ants every night we sat down on the terrace overlooking the port. My 7 year old and 6 old loved the outside space etc. Thank you Lydia we will recommend the property.

We spent 4 lovely nights in Lydia’s apartment. The view and location is unbeatable! Comfortable queen size bed, well equipped kitchen and good washing facilities. From the terrace, we also very much enjoyed watching the comings and goings of the boats at the port. A multitude of restaurants and shops are a mere 150 metres away. The only think I will say is there are about 45 stairs leading down to the property from street level, so it maybe difficult if you are disabled. Secure off street parking was an absolute bonus! To top it off, Lydia was most attentive before checking in, during our stay and checking out. Thanks for everything Lydia! Anne & Simon (Australia)
