This house is absolutely gorgeous! The furniture and decor is modern and comfortable. It feels very homey and inviting. We loved the open floorplan for the common areas. And the multilevel bedrooms were great. The kitchen had all the essentials. The views were amazing when the fog clears up. You really don't need to leave the house once you're there. Just be sure to bring plenty of food/groceries. The grill worked well. The only weird thing was the bathroom door in the ground floor bedroom. Its a sliding door that only closes half way. We were there in August, and it was very foggy and overcast the whole weekend. There's only a few hours during the day where it was clear enough to see the ocean. The rest of the time, you can barely see 6 inches away. We got lucky on our last day, we saw a few dears and bunnies hopping around, It's very close to Dillon Beach and it was packed. We recommend going early. You can walk or drive. It's quite a strenuous walk up the hill. We went on a Saturday and parking was $15. It's a dog friendly beach. We had fun dog-watching!
House and views very nice Upstairs room had no window blinds or screens, Room was very hot Owner should stock more toilet paper and napkins for such a large group and as much as you pay to rent house
Each year we go to a new area and we picked this area for things to do and this house. It was great for 3 familes. House was enjoyable to relax in, great views. The walk to the beach was easy, coming back up was a challange
This house was wonderful for a mom's getaway. Views from almost every window! Very large living room for our group with enough counter space in the kitchen. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Although, it is such an amazing place that we'd love to see a few updates; 1. All the bedrooms are large, but the room that has 2 twins and a queen is VERY uncomfortable and should only be used for children. 2. Also, the water pressure/sinks/showerheads are very old and don't work very well. 3. The TV is about as big as a computer monitor. EXTREMELY small. It would be great to have a large TV in either of the common rooms for important viewing reasons(like the basketball playoffs!!)
Wonderful property with amazing views! Quiet and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Shout out to property manager Alex — no property issues but had trouble with access code from Vrbo and he was immediately responsive!
This is a fantastic location. The sunsets were amazing. We enjoyed our stay, unfortunately the furnace went out during our stay but the property manager and owner were very responsive and provided space heaters. A few other observations were, the toilet paper holder in the half bath on the main floor was broken. One sliding door on the main floor could not be locked but had a dowel to keep shut. No curtains or blinds in the master bedroom. Maybe the owner is currently working on replacements because I'm sure they are special order. We would definitely stay at this location again. Thank you.
We had a wonderful time!
Great property and the owner was really helpful!
Alex’s house is perfectly set up for privacy and quiet between all of the levels. The great room is wonderful for gathering at all meals and games. At first we thought the small screen size would be an issue but we never once missed having movie nights we just played more games together. All around one of our best Dillon stays in the 5 yrs we’ve been renting with VRBO.
Great experience, Alex was very responsive to some minor questions. House is clean and has a beautiful view.
Had a very nice stay at this property, can’t beat the view. The hot tub is really nice. Kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with Alex and the property manager was amazing, so responsive! One downside is the clean fee is $350 and we had to take out all the trash including in the bathrooms, wash and put away all the dishes (typically other houses allow you to run the dishwasher on your last day and they put them away) and pull all the towels/linens. Kind of a lot to do day of departure. If you’re fine with doing all that, this is a great place to stay!
I can’t thank you enough for the most amazing stay ever, The house is amazing and accommodated my family beautifully. The kitchen is not well stocked but I can get over that the property is beautiful. One comment I didn’t report to the property manager/the 2nd oven is broken. It’s an awesome place to gather a larger group. The owner is awesome.
My group of 6 women stayed 3 nights at this property in mid September. As shown in the pictures, the house is perched on the hilltop with a drop dead view of the ocean. It is large with several levels separating the various bedrooms and living area. The open living room/ kitchen plan makes it comfortable for a large group to gather around the kitchen or relax on the comfy seating. The property managers were extremely responsive to my contacting them several times before our stay and once when we arrived. We found the kitchen supplies a little lacking but we did cook 3 dinners and breakfasts. However we got creative with what we couldn't find and all worked out well. Luckily, I had a decent wine opener in my car since the one provided was really inadequate. Otherwise, a lovely stay was had by all.
Great location, amazing bay/ocean views and a doable walk downhill to the beach! We all enjoyed our first visit to the pacific coast and this home was the perfect base for our vacation. Plenty of space, clean and a great kitchen to prepare family meals. We loved watching the family of deer behind the house! They came multiple times a day. Only recommendation would be to install larger TV’s and put one in each bedroom! The tv’s were so small (honestly about the size of a large computer monitor) and we could not enjoy an evening movie as a family or retire to the bedrooms to watch a movie/tv show. Great place!
We had a great tonight stay at this home. The house was very tidy and the property managers were very responsive. It was perfect for our family of nine, there is a whole separate living area downstairs and that is where we sent our kids. On our way home my son fell asleep, when he woke up and realized that we were home he started crying. He said he wanted to go back to the beach house.
This is a lovely home — plenty of space for our extended family. Note summer weather can be a bit foggy for the view — which is amazing when clear (hit or miss). But was nice and cool compared to the Central Valley. The carpets are a bit older, but not a problem for us as the owner allowed our dog! (Thank you!) They even left blankets and sheets so our dog could be on the sofa! Note the main floor bedrm needs two steps to go into the bathroom - this was a bit of an issue for my elderly mother. Only real issue was the rodent (prob mouse) droppings in the pantry every day — we kept all our food in our coolers once we noted that (we did see a mouse trap in the pantry). Since we are experienced campers, and only had a two days left - we managed — owner stated he would take care of the issue.
Very nice and very clean property. Kitchen and all the rooms are amazing with great views. Only downside was the construction going on next door but I know that is out of the property owners hands. If you are a big coffee drinker like my group is I would recommend bringing your own coffee maker the one at the house is quite small. Overall great place and great time. Would highly recommend it and plan on staying again.
