Quiet Family Friendly Home Close to Magic Mountain

Felt uneasy owners personal belongings in refrigerator n closets bathroom drawers closets did not feel with the freedom to make it like we wanted to stay. We actually left that evening.

great house in a great neighborhood. host was great i would for sure stay again we had everything we needed.

The good: The neighborhood, the cleanliness of the house and the ease of checkin/ checkout, plus the very detailed instructions for the reservation/ great communication The not so good: This house is occupied by a family, so it is not a normal vacation rental. Their clothes are there, family photos everywhere, their food in the refrigerator, etc. There is only one bedroom that has full privacy (the master), the other is a child’s room, with his pictures and belongs all over the place, that opens into another room with bunk beds, without a door or slider to separate the two. That child’s room was not pictured in the photos and not included in the description. It is very awkward sleeping in a child’s bed, in his room, with all of his possessions there. The backyard is not kept up, the grass is dead, no basketball hoop as pictured (we brought a ball and anticipated being able to use it) and the furniture was very badly faded by the sun with bird/ lizard poop all over it so we could not sit outside. The fire pit also did not work (my parents have the same one and I know how to use it). In fairness, I was there for a wedding and spent most of the weekend away from the VRBO. I did not contact the owner with my concerns because there were too many of them (my fault). I did not have time to dispute all of this due to my involvement in the wedding preparation and the event itself. The owner refused any refund. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere
