Stayed Aug 8, 2025Wonderful stay on the Medina River within just a short walk down to the river from the house. In in ground pool was a nice touch for an evening swim! This is a shared pool but we didn’t have an issues at all. Lovely home, nice place to take in the beauty of the Hill Country!

Stayed Dec 13, 2024This was perfect. The set up, view, and peacefulness of this property was perfect. The hostess was responsive and personable, the beds were comfortable but the view and the wildlife make this place exceptional. The road getting in is a little unsettling the first time you do it, but otherwise, this is a 5 star spot.

Stayed Nov 15, 2024Close to Bandera. Nice house & clean. Easy check-in. Enjoyed the view and wildlife. Gravel road a little rough driving in, but otherwise good location

Stayed Jun 7, 2024Many of my vacations with my family have been overfilled with activities. For this year's vacation I wanted a getaway where I could disconnect and relax. This was absolutely perfect. The property is fun to explore as well as the river. There hadn't been rain in some time, but that let us walk through and try to catch frogs and tadpoles. Our routine was to wake up as late as we could (kids 9 months - 11 years were with us), have breakfast, head to the pool for a few hours, and take a nap followed by late dinner. There's only one small TV and board games. So it did encourage us to be more involved in the family area in the evenings The kitchen was phenomenal; we enjoyed cooking all our meals in the kitchen. The plus was having a charcoal grill outside. Many short-term rentals only have gas grills and my family loves charcoal grilling. Property manager was responsive and brought trash bags when we ran out. Two downfalls: I didn't read closely enough and did not realize that the pool/patio area was a shared space. There was one other family at one of the other houses- our pool times didn't overlap, but this is something to be aware of. It would be perfect for family reunions or larger family gatherings. Also, the A/C didn't seem to be able to keep up with the heat outside. We'd have it set to 74/75, but it would hit 78 or 79 degrees. It cooled down at night. We didn't bring it up with the property manager because we were there for a short time. Overall, amazing stay.
