Very nice and clean
Not good
Although we saw negative reviews, we believed the owner may have corrected the negatives, and we gave them a chance. POSITIVES 1) Nice location 2) Easy checkin 3) Very quiet neighborhood NEGATIVES 1) Straightened up, not cleaned. Hair, blood, pop under toilet seat. Had to clean cabinets, tubs, and wipe down tables. My grandson found a mothballs under couch and put it in his mouth. Bottles of half drunk water found under master bed. 2) Upstairs bed broken. We rented Friday, Saturday, Sunday night. We informed owner on Friday around 8pm (when we arrived) that bed upstairs was broken. We could not use that bed for safety reason. We received a replacement bed at 11:45pm on Saturday night. 3) No television signal. The owner came over, got on the phone and led us to believe she was talking to AT&T trying to fix the television signal. These efforts were unsuccessful. Next morning we came back on the VRBO site to read the reviews to see if anyone else has these same issues, and we saw several similar concerns. Several about the uncleanliness of the home, and one about the televisions not having a signal. We later found out there is no cable or internet service at the address, so we have no idea who the mysterious AT&T person on the phone with the owner was. She obviously knew there was no signal from previous complaints. 4) House kept getting warm, AC not working correctly. It averaged 80 degrees the entire time. Went outside and checked, lines were frozen over. 5) Roaches, yes cockroaches, ALIVE, BREATHING and BREEDING cockroaches was seen in upstairs bathroom. 6) Fridge wouldn't get cold. 7) Since we had no TV, we tried the radio. Only one speaker worked. We have requested half of our money back, and as of today. We have not received and reimbursements. We kept hearing, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry but not sorry enough to right this wrong. We contacted owner from the moment we arrived about issues. We had to go to the store and buy dvd's so we could watch TV. She stated she would reimburse us for the movies we bought before we left. But she never showed up for checkout. So we never got and monies back. Seems like this house is really for Big Money Little Efforts purposes. Never again, beware!!!
Pros; good comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, clean house, good location, stores/restaurants beer by. Cons; no access to the garrage, internet/wifi passwords did not work, cable was not working on any of the tv’s
Overall it was a good stay. The only negatives was for some reason the master bedroom took longer to cool then the living room. Also, not all the tvs had cable. Some had roku type systems. None of that was a huge deal as we found ways around it.
There is plenty of room to spread out in this tastefully decorated 4 bedroom home. The lower Master suite houses a king size bed, plenty of seating area , a jacuzzi size, glass shower, private toilet and a walk in closet. The upstairs has three large bedrooms separate seating area a full bath. There is formal size dining room, large kitchen and laundry room all with new appliances. The contact person Margaret was very friendly.
This was our first time renting a home in Dallas. I needed to contact the owner a few times to obtain the security code. Upon arrival, we noticed that there were basic essentials missing - like a coffee maker, kitchen towels, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, toaster, etc. The kitchen table and counters were not cleaned upon arrival. After I contacted the owner, she advised she would drop by with those essentials. She brought a 5 cup coffee maker and handi wipes. A heating vent cover was not secure in the upstairs hallway and the bathrooms could have been cleaned better - a few dead insects were noticed. The house furnishings were very nice and the bedrooms were sufficient. Overall, the house was nice, however i would not rent this one again.
As a write this, I wonder if you'll read it. There were other non-glowing reviews 2 weeks ago when we stayed, but those have been mysteriously deleted. Since they are gone, I will restate what they said, as I experienced the same thing... Pictures look nice. But if it is not pictured, it is not there. Bring your own bath, kitchen and hand towels, hand soap, dish soap, coffee maker, etc. It is close to lots of stores, so you can easily buy whatever you need. The property was not that clean, but it was tidy. A carpet cleaning would do wonders. It is not a terrible place, but the whole time it felt obvious that this is a place with the sole purpose of making money by cutting costs, so there are absolutely no 'frills' except that there is cable tv. Think Spirit Airlines in VRBO form. Works for some, but both families that stayed did not think it worth a return trip.
Nice, Relaxing And Beautiful Home. Quiet And Beautiful Neighborhood.
Home was spacious and beautiful. Cleanliness, and it was in a quiet neighborhood. A/C worked amazing against the Texas heat and humidity. No concerns, but the dryer there never got hot so we unable to dry our towels that we brought from home to use again. Other little things were there no hand soap in restrooms nor laundry detergent which would have been a plus. Otherwise, home was comfortable for our stay for the weekend.
