If you want to escape the city, why pick a house in side-by-side suburbia Seasons of stunning surroundings await you! Come see our wildflower meadows bursting with a rainbow of color in the late spring and summer, aspen groves painted in gold, yellow and red in the fall, and trails through the woods blanketed in white for you to snowshoe in the winter. All these photos are ON THE RANCH, not nearby like so many listings post. Take a lovely walk on one of our several trails right out the back door.

Location:
Just 3 miles up the hill from Black Hawk (casinos, fine dining!), it is consistently a 75 minute drive from DIA. It is 2.5 miles to Black Hawk's brand new Hidden Treasure mountain bike trailhead, and of course all of the Indian Peaks Wilderness trailheads are just minutes north on the Peak to Peak Highway. Interstate 70 is 20 minutes to the south. The closest 2 ski areas are Loveland to the south and Eldora to the north. Rocky Mountain National Park is a 40 mile trip north up the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway, a spectacular drive.

IMPORTANT: 4WD/AWD AND GOOD SNOW TIRES REQUIRED OCT. 10 - MAY 10 unless otherwise advised. Message us any time for current conditions.

The Talley House:
The house is the 50-year-old original home on the ranch. It has 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs, a bedroom with a brand new bathroom downstairs, along with spacious living, dining room and den areas. The kitchen has new appliances. It is surrounded on three sides with large outdoor deck areas.

The house is next to the barn, the green house, and the caretaker's house, so you will see the owners and the caretaker, with our many dogs working in the barn and around the property while you are here. We are busy making and marking trails, building fences, taking care of the constant fire-mitigation work, and restoring this 50-year-old house, barn and ranch that we have been blessed with.

Our host Kristen is wonderful. The ranch being a larger acreage has a feel of isolation. The views are great and the home has a comfortable feel with a great table for playing games.

It was wonderfully quiet and cozy. We had so much fun exploring the property and being visited by 3 moose. Kris was excellent with communication and the property was very clean.

This was the perfect spot to enjoy the end of Fall between some work and play in the Denver area. Very clean, great bathroom downstairs, and very spacious. Really enjoyed walking the peaceful property and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

What a view!! We enjoyed the home very much, and hope to return next year. Trails on the property made you feel like you were deep in a national park.

Excellent location, friendly owners and caretaker. Was nice to get out into nature but still be close enough to town to get a bite to eat or stock up on supplies.

The house is very clean and perfect for 3 families - lots of room and large dining table. The description of the access road and directions are good but important to pay close attention to. I highly recommend an suv or truck with high clearance for the bumps and rocks in the road. The kitchen was well stocked as were bathrooms with lots of soft towels! My main questions were how to engage the heaters bc it was a cold weekend and I also would have liked to know in advance that the refrigerator ice maker was not available (but ice trays were provided). We saw a moose and hiked the trails. The owners were kind and very communicative! We recommend and hope to stay again. (Also I’d bring my own fan bc it’s super quiet in the area but I’m not used to that!)

We had such a fantastic time! My three adult kids, our Bernese Mountain Dog, and I stayed from Thursday to Sunday, and it was exactly what we needed. Booking and chatting with the host through the Vrbo app was easy, and everything went smoothly from beginning to end.The house was just right for us—three cozy bedrooms with five comfy beds, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all the meals we brought. We barely left the ranch, only venturing out once to check out the local casinos for a couple of hours. We loved having so much space to ourselves! The groundskeeper was super friendly. She came by to introduce herself and her pup, but gave us plenty of privacy throughout our stay. We took a hike around the property, mostly through snow, and got some amazing photos. We didn’t spot any wildlife, but we saw lots of signs of moose and deer, which was still pretty cool. The ranch was so cozy and welcoming—it felt like a true home away from home. We all agreed we didn’t want to leave! If you're looking for a peaceful, scenic spot to spend time with loved ones, I highly recommend Quartz Point Ranch.

We had a great week-long stay at Quartz Point Ranch! The house was quite large and comfortable, and had everything we needed to cook a big Thanksgiving meal. We really enjoyed exploring the property as well. Kris, Mike and Brandi were all so welcoming and we felt at home. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

This property is gorgeous. The house itself is cozy and has everything you need. The beds were really comfy and the downstairs was cozy for relaxing mornings and winding down at night. The dirt road going up to the property definitely adds to the adventure. Our 4-wheel drive rental definitely came in handy. The view from the porch is gorgeous and we loved drinking our coffee there in the morning or star gazing at night. The owners and caretaker are so friendly and our interactions with them and their dogs made our stay even better. It was about 45 mins to get to Red Rocks, Denver and Nederland (where we took day trips to). A little out of the way, but the property was worth the extra drive time. Would stay here again and would recommend.
