Stayed Aug 2, 2025We had a great stay! The home is old (built in 1810!) but it has been well cared for by generations of family. The home is not a modern renovation but is instead a well kept view into cape cod history. It had everything we needed for our stay including a washer and dryer and air conditioning in 3 of the rooms. We used the master bedroom with the king bed and the room with a twin bed right off of it. Both mattresses were very comfortable memory foam. The host was very responsive when we reached out. The house was clean and comfortable and located just 5min from downtown Wellfleet. A few items to be aware of if you are booking:1. The house is set back in the woods so you may want to bring bug spray as it can get a little mosquito-y away from the immediate area of the house. 2. The bedrooms upstairs with the twin beds (1 bed and 3 beds) that are separate from the king room were a bit musty when we arrived so opening up the windows when you arrive or bringing some air freshener will take care of it. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend the location.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024We had a very nice stay. It was myself, my husband, our children (ages 3, 12, and 15), and my in laws. We especially enjoyed the deck and the expansive, private property, picking blackberries every day, watching the wild turkeys come through, and the outdoor shower. The house is very old and lived-in. For some? That might be a drawback, but for us it was charming and quite comfortable. William was always quick to respond to any questions, and we were surprised at how well-stocked the house was with essentials (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc). My only complaints would be that the windows really do need locks on them (they’re so old that many of the ground floor windows have no locks whatsoever) and the owners should consider updating the electric (we had issues finding enough outlets for all of our devices - luckily I brought a couple of outlet extenders because we have had this issue before in other rentals). Nonetheless, I would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed Sep 16, 2023A very convenient location on outer cape. Provincetown, Chatham, Orleans and Nickerson state park all quick, easy drives. Wellfleet a totally charming village. Easy and close access to bike rail trail. Great kayaking in Wellfleet Bay and when tides were not favorable we kayaked the nearby kettle ponds. Plus a lovely conservation trail within walking distance of the cottage. The house has a lot of history and feels like an authentic ole cape cod summer house. We were very comfortable there for a carefree two week stay. You can hear the traffic from route 6, yet the location is very private. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Aug 5, 2023This house was great, charming. Close to everything yet still secluded. The outdoor space was very nice. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the Cape. Owners were very fast to return communication. Overall highly recommend.

Stayed Jul 22, 2023We loved this house. It is set in a hollow on a beautiful piece of land with roses, blackberry bushes, and baby bunnies. It is a good old-fashioned Cape Cod house with a homey, warm vibe and a great story. The house is configured with separate rooms and two staircases so we had plenty of space and privacy. The outdoor shower was terrific and the fire pit was perfect for making evening smores. We were initially a bit concerned about the house's proximity to Route 6, but with all the trees, you could not see the road, and inside the house, we could not hear any noise. It is super close to trails that lead to the bike path, making it an easy walk to PB Boulangerie. My husband rode his bike every morning to Duck Pond which was lovely. Best of all, this house welcomed our cat who has cancer. While there, she had a grand adventure sitting in the screened-in windows and looking for birds. This house may not be suited for people looking for something modern, but it was a welcoming, comfortable home to spend time with friends and family.

Stayed Aug 20, 2022If you’re looking for a landing pad right off of Route 6 that’s close to Marconi Beach, the Cape Cod rail trail, downtown Wellfleet, and a short drive to P-town, this 1810 house tucked behind trees off the main road fits the bill. Equipped with WiFi and a smart tv, plus 3 floor ACs, you & 10 others can travel back in time while keeping some modern comforts at your fingertips for the rainy day or night in.
