Quaint Historic Downtown Flagstaff Hideaway

Terrific location, you can walk to old downtown for shopping, eating & drinking, great coffee places. Also the Farmer’s Market. The house is very adequate for reasonable rates. We didn’t use the kitchen but it is well- stocked. 1 small bathroom is the only drawback but you just work w/it. Flagstaff is just wonderful.

The house we rented was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner was incredibly kind and very responsive to any questions. I would stay there again in a second.

This is the cleanest best located VRBO in flagstaff. If you have a dog only 5 minutes from City Park and 1 minute from flagstaff trail system.

This is a very pet-friendly place. Clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. Also close to walking trails and the downtown area. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a difficult review and I was torn between four or five stars. I went five because the pros outweighed a the few cons. The pros are: great location easily walkable to downtown but away from the noise, cleanliness, kitchen was beautiful and well appointed, plenty of supplies and towels, full-size washer/dryer. The cons are: furniture is tired (one arm of the couch is barely hanging on), only 1 barstool is usable to eat at the counter (the other 2 are way too short), bed pillows are just sad. This place is a great value for the price and really cute. Personally, I would rather pay a bit more to have better appointments because the location and neighborhood are amazing.

The host is very nice and answers right away. Its cute and comfy place close to eveything. Very clean and keyless check in was nice. We will stay here again.

Flagstaff is a wonderful town and this property is in a great location with good walking. Old house remodeled with lots of charm. Nice fenced area if you have a dog. Host is nice with ideas for food and things to do.

The house was clean, cozy, and in a great area close to downtown. It has a big bag yard and is stocked with most essentials you would need. The host was very welcoming! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

The yard was perfect for our pups, plenty of space for them to run around. Great neighborhood to take the pups for walks. Location is great, close to grocery store and great restaurants.

Host was polite with clear instructions. The amenities were perfect, house was very clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable. Really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and it was very convenient having all cooking utinsils available and in great working order.

Everything was amazing from communicating with the host, location and size of the house, to fantastic Flagstaff with its gorgeous scenery, fun town, and beautiful hikes. We hope to make this spot our home away from home every time we visit Flagstaff from now on.

The location is absolutely perfect, walking distance to all Flagstaff has to offer! The home is very sweet! Touch of old world with great oak furniture in the master and kitchen table. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is the star, beautiful cabinets and well appointed. Full size washer/dryer is an extra plus for travelers!

Awesome location for our summer visit to Flagstaff. Great for walking to all our favorite shops, library, breweries, coffee shops etc. House was comfy and cozy and easy for us and our dog. Nice touch was the water and food bowls and the doggie door. Backyard was securely fenced and neighborhood super quiet and cute. We will be back!

As advertised, it's a quaint historic downtown property. It was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Easy walking distance to a park and downtown. Fairly quiet neighborhood aside from a few folks coming home late on the weekends. Lovely backyard to enjoy the weather and trees. Worked great for our family for a quick weekend stay.

Todd's place was great. The house is amazing and comfortable with a nice fence in backyard for our small dogs. Also, you cannot beat the location. Will definitely book this place each time we are in Flagstaff.

Our 4th time to stay here…does that tell you something??This is our golden VRBO. We found it on our 4th trip to Flagstaff and now just keep coming back. When you walk in the door it feels so fresh and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pot & pans, spices, and a new toaster oven. Good lighting and plugs everywhere. Don’t expect a well manicured yard but it’s a treat for our dog who is used to a rocky Tucson yard. Plus there’s a new screen door with a doggie door. Todd is host extraordinaire. There’s rarely a problem but this time there was a toilet issue and he had someone there within a couple of hours to fix it. Only down side no ESPN2 to watch Wimbledon. The Sunday farmer’s market, downtown food, music, theatre, park, library and 4th of July parade are all within walking distance. Guess I better not say anything else before I book for next year. Thanks Todd for another cool stay.

Good location for a quick getaway to Flagstaff!We loved that it was dog friendly. Definitely would recommend for small families.

The perfect location! This lovely home is in a quiet, residential area, but steps away from tons of great restaurants and coffee shops, and it’s inches away from one of trails on the urban trail system. We were planning to get groceries at the beginning of our trip, but we ended up not needing them—we had too much fun walking into town for all our meals. We also were both working during our trip, and it was so well set up for that. One of us had the kitchen, the other took the guest bedroom. Thank you again!

Our stay was great! Perfect house for location, in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. Walkable parks, trails, and restaurants. Very accommodating for a dog, with the big backyard, fully fenced. Todd was great with communicating. We would definitely stay here again.

The home is located on a quiet street within easy walking distance of downtown. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is in excellent condition with everything you could possibly need or want.

Our family enjoyed our stay here. Location was easy to find and couldn't ask for a more perfect location-close to everything. We were going to bring one of our dogs but last minute decided not to so we asked if it was possible to get the pet fee refunded. Immediately upon asking Todd refunded it. We also had a question about the back gate and sent a message. Again, immediate response back to us. Exactly what you'd appreciate when in need. Excellent host. Also the house was more then equipped with everything/anything you could possibly need including dog bowls and a doggy door! We loved that and would love to bring the dogs next time. Also T.V. was great and easy to figure out. Wonderful little house and would stay here again. Thank you!If you need a really good food option, go eat at MartAnnes Burrito Palace! Bfast & lunch served all day there as well.

Great place. We parked our car most of the time and walked downtown, used the urban trail. Todd’s place is very comfortable and convenient.

My teenage son, dog, and I stayed at this nice 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house for 2 nights. The dog loved being able to run around in the yard, and we were able to watch our shows and movies in the living room on the Smart TV. The location was great! We took a day trip to the Grand Canyon and was able to see Sedona only 1 hour south of us.

This was a wonderful property close to historic downtown Flagstaff. The house was very well stocked, particularly the kitchen, which had anything and everything you would need. Everything was very comfortable and easy. Communication with our host was fantastic! I highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay here again.

Great house to stay at when visiting Flagstaff.

Love, Love, LOVE this house! Clean and well equipped for all our needs. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Able to do a load of laundry while there. Backyard was great for our two dogs to play in. Nice quiet neighborhood to take walks. Convenient location to downtown and Riordan Mansion. Also close for a day trip to Sedona and another to the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend if you want to stay in Flagstaff.

My kiddos and I stayed for the week during their spring break and really enjoyed our time. The house is cute and very accomodating and the location is amazing! We found the walk to downtown Flag easy to do sometimes multiple times a day. And with Snowbowl so close, it was really great! We also made a quick trip to Ft. Tuthill for sledding and snow play which was also super quick and easy to get to. Thank you for making our spring break trip a memorable one!

Second trip to property within 10 weeks. Repeat of the first: primary to ski SnowBowl but also ride a bike and hike a pup. Better than the first as remembered to bring a little firewood and with a little more snow on the ground all activities were more enjoyable. Also meant we were more exhausted which made the property even more appealing to return to each late afternoon.

Great little home, very quiet and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We brought our daughter to visit NAU and it was perfect for our family of four. The pullout mattress wasn't super comfortable, so our son just slept on the couch which is roomy enough for a tall teenager and okay for a couple nights. If we end up with a student Lumberjack, we will definitely be spending more time at Todd's place.

The house was exactly what we expected, very comfortable beds, nicely furnished and equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. Backyard was fenced and great for our dog to hang out in. Check in was flawless, would highly recommend.

This is a great location to walk to downtown. My son loves trains and being able to walk to the train station and see them going by was definitely his highlight of the trip.

Check-in was easy, location was great. Host was very responsive/resolved an issue about the living room TV missing a remove. We couldn't use the TV or watch the NFL game upon arrival so we went to a local sports bar. Parking was a challenge with a full-size HD truck. The private drive is shared with neighbors & a small business on the corner. Those customers also took up the street parking. The yard was mostly dirt. Just walking in/out of the house to the vehicle created a microburst of dirt in the air, covering our shoes/boots. For that reason I don't recommend leaving any windows/doors open & like us, don't wear shoes in the house. The dryer needs to be cleaned. Looked like someone put a candy bar in the dryer, there was gross stuff stuck inside. At first I wasn't sure if it was just discolored from use but when I used cloth with super water to wipe it, a chunk of something gooey stuck to it. Floors weren't very clean (white bathmat quickly showed that). Fixing the dirt yard would help solve that. Couch should be replaced, creaky, worn down, uneven cushions & stained in some spots. Good stuff: fully fenced yard for dogs, even had a pooper scooper for use. Just wipe those paws from the yard when they come in! Super close to downtown, within walking distance. Pretty quiet even for a busy street. Neighborhood felt safe. Easy access to shopping, restaurants,expressway. With a few improvements this would earn a better rating. Overall, it was fine for just a few days.

Location was perfect!!!-Close to downtown Flag-Close to Ski Shops-Close to Flag High for Shuttle to mountain if needed.-Easy street parking and extra parking in back by garage.Todd was great to work with and very responsive. Will definitely stay here again!!

Neighborhood was ok, felt safe but some nearby homes were a little sketchy. Missing tv remote and instant water heater went out when using washer or dishwasher. Dishwasher was not fastened and would tip over when opening. Liked that we could walk to restaurants and shops. Was an easy drive up to Snowbowl as well.

Ideal for our situation: Walkable to all things downtown, walkable to both bike and hike/run trailheads (intern flat as well as endless single track into the woods), quick drive to Snowbowl. Bonus: canine friendly property. Unnecessary to say more.

This is an ideal house if you are looking to stay in a quaint neighborhood a couple blocks from parks, a duck pond, and downtown. The backyard is fenced in for small children, dogs, and general privacy. We had four adults and two teens and we were all very comfortable in this space. We did not need to contact the host with any issues.This place made our stay in Flagstaff, perfect! We would stay here again.

Great location. Cute little cottage. Kitchen had almost everything we needed. (We prefer Kurig.) TVs and wifi worked. Lots of yard room for a dog. Close to downtown shops and the library. Easy access to train.

The cottage was in a great location just a 10 minute walk to town. The kitchen is very new and had everything we needed. We had our pup with us so the fenced yard was great as well as the proximity to a walking path and park.

Property needs attention, maintenance and updating. Backyard is a mess. The toaster oven has unreadable buttons, and the tankless water heater in the kitchen is slow and noisy. The MBR closet was full of baby stuff which we had to move. The owner was very responsive and helpful, and the check in process was seamless.

With parking in the back, there needs to be a sidewalk to the back door as well as lighting. There is no grass; and, as it rained during our stay, it was muddy walking to/from house/car. It would be better if the back door window had a blind or curtain. Unusual for a VRBO rental, there were no wine glasses. The hot water is on demand, so it takes a bit to reach the shower; but, once it does, it was very nice.

Wonderful property located within walking distance of downtown Flagstaff. There is a lovely grassy park right around the corner where our puppy could frolic. The house was well equipped and very clean. We couldn't figure out how to turn on lights in the living room. Our only disappointment was finding a place to sit outside. A patio would have been nice as the back yard was dirt and the outside furniture was caked with mud. That being said, the backyard is spacious with beautiful trees ! A wonderful stay. Thank you.

The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! I love the downtown location since it’s walkable to so many things. I needed a pet friendly place because my daughter who is in college was moving from one apartment to another so it was nice for her and her dog to be able to stay overnight with me during the chaos. Would recommend and would stay again.

We loved this house, great location and secure yard for our dogs. I have a special needs tripod pup and the steps were easy for him to get up and down. We’ve already rebooked it again!

The house is small but has everything you need. We stayed with our teen daughter and greyhound. The yard was bigger than expected and the fence was plenty high to keep the dog in. It is walking distance to just about everything. Beds were comfortable. Property was clean. The VRBO app was not working when we arrived. We called the property person listed and were still able to get in without a problem. Great host and quick response time. Highly recommended.
