Punta Gorda home close to airport & boat ramp

Property is very nice, short drive to restaurants or interstate. It is spacious with nice furniture and well stocked. Really liked the layout. Note that the stairs are a little steeper than normal. Almost gave it 5 stars. However, the master shower needs a good scrubbing and had mold on shower door, causing the bathroom to smell musty. Sliding glass door definitely needs some work. Also, when we arrived the cooktop had something on it and had not been cleaned. I bought product and cleaned it but determined it had been damaged and was stained. I contacted owner to make sure they knew it was that way when we arrived and that we had not caused the damage. They were already aware of it but had not notified us. The cooktop still worked so was not a real problem. Also, I think owners need to communicate sooner about check-in instructions. I received message from VRBO 3 days before check-in that said the owners should contact us soon with check-instructions. I sent message to owner the next day and again the day before check-in. I just wanted to make sure that all was well with the reservation before we headed that way. The owner finally contacted us after my second message and said they would provide check-in instructions the morning of check-in. I understand not wanting to provide the door code ahead of time, but it would be nice to be contacted by owner a few days ahead of time to find that out. Also, note that check-out is actually 10 AM, not 11 AM. Would stay there again.

Location was good being close to downtown Punta Gorda for restaurants, shopping, walking trails and major highways. A little noisy being in close proximity to airport and Rt 17. Hosts were accomodating and very quick to respond to any needs. Steps were a bit of a challenge. No lanai and not much shade on deck. Carport provided plenty of shade. The house met our needs for a months stay.

Convienent location. Very responsive hosts.

House was clean. Outside was not however there was just a hurricane so Understandable. We could not get the tv to work. Location was great for what we needed. Property owners responded quickly to any answers we had.
