Place is big, adorable and in great location- walking distance to Mayo beach, restaurants, stores, galleries. Place is extremely dirty, I mopped the entire place and saw spider webs everywhere, mouse droppings in every corners including bed sheet and kitchen. It was disgusting! If you plan to cook- there is no chopping board, and tools for lobsters.

Luke the owner is fabulous! This is a turn of century classic cape cod cottage, excellent local, outdoor shower, parking, hatches market one of the best still left in new england. It's the patty page song...your sure to falk in love..with olde cape cod. If you dont know the song perhaps not your thing! My family and myself amd my spouce has had a home on cape since 1st boat of lunatic from england 1600s chatham, ptown and brewster. If you require the ritz residence. This ain't it! But if you want flip flops fresh fish gorgeous beaches.and some great food! Its a perfect, vintage cape summer. Im 70 so, not a party spot. Quite , grill huge deck. And not in the madness but conveniently to Wellfleet center by foot. Thank you Luke! Washer and dryer a HUGE plus ! Cant wait already rebooked for next summer! We stayed happy and comfortable for 4 weeks! Its a gem! For someone who wants the perfect vintage summer cottage.

We were excited to spend a month at this property as the location is outstanding. During our stay, Luke was quick to respond to the few requests we had. Outside shower flow was So low, more like a heavy drip. He did come by and made it slightly better. We actually spent only half of our nights at the house due to an issue - we suspect is mold. When we arrived, we found multiple air fresheners and fans running in the property. It was clearly disguising the smell which became evident once we removed the 3 pungent air fresheners. The second request we had during our stay was to provide a few more screens for the windows. This was important to us to allow morefresh air in the house. He was not able to provide this. We actually checked out a week early as the air quality was becoming a health concern. We gave our host notice of our departure the day we left and the reason why. I did not want to give a bad review. I gave Luke an opportunity to remedy the situation after we departed and hopefully come up with a solution. Weeks went by without a response to my multiple texts. We did not request any financial restitution- only that he check it out and let us know what he determined and to remedy this issue. Unfortunately, my inquiries fell on deaf ears. ? We travel quite a bit and have always given 5 star reviews. Unfortunately, in good consciousness, i could not give this property a good review. All that said - The location is wonderful. - Downtown and accessible to restaurants and all the wellfleet activities. Its a as 20 minute drive to Provincetown.

This property is in a great location for exploring Wellfleet and the nearby national seashore. Shops, restaurants, and the small local market are just a few minutes’ walk. We enjoyed walking to Mayo Beach to see the sunset and eat great seafood at the harbor restaurants. Even though it’s in the heart of the village, it’s very quiet and we were barely aware that there was a nearby main street or neighboring homes. The window AC units were super helpful, as we were there during a warm, muggy week and could easily adjust the temp. Loved the gas grill and spacious deck as well. We were very pleased to have the washer and dryer available. Not quite a 5 star property for a couple of reasons. We needed more kitchen supplies than were provided. We needed saucers, a variety of bowls in different sizes, lobster tools, kitchen shears. More attention could be given to cleaning – there was dust on the bureaus, throw rugs didn’t appear to have been washed in a while, some of the dishes in the cupboards were grimy.

The house was adorable and very conveniently located right in town, but on a side road so it was quiet. We would take a lovely walk to get ice cream or dinner on the harbor. The fantastic little Farmers Market and Fish Market across the parking lot behind us was amazing. The seafood was so fresh you could watch them unload it from the boat in the parking lot straight into the market. Plus, with the visitor's beach pass all the great ocean, bay, and pond beaches were all accessible and a short drive away. Just all around great stay.

The cottage could have been cleaner. Dust and a few cob webs. The refrigerator door does not close properly, had to push it in to ensure it was shut. Living space was adequate for two people. Nice quiet area, even though the property is adjacent to a large parking lot. Great seafood market on the other side of the lot.

Great location! Close to all that is Wellfleet and CapeCod. The cottage is located on a very quiet street and was very comfortable for the two of us. We enjoyed the private outdoor deck & being able to cook very fresh fish from the market just steps away. Will be happy and do plan to come back again.

Although we've been visiting the cape for many years, this was the first time we stayed in Wellfleet. We were not disappointed! First: the house itself was immaculately clean with two small bedrooms and both a full bath indoors, and the quintessential outdoor shower. There's a big kitchen, dining area, and living room with TV. There are two air conditioning units and several fans in the home to cool and move the air, which was important as our vacation weather was extremely hot. The large deck with ample lighting is perfect for eating outside or just hanging out. The house is located off a 'main' street and while it backs up to the parking lot for Hatche's fresh seafood, it wasn't loud and didn't interfere with our enjoyment of the house. It was very convenient when we wanted to order dinner! There is hardly any foot traffic near the house. The little town with cute shops and a market is about one minute's walk away and several amazing beaches are a short (maybe 6-8 min) drive from the property. The owner was incredibly responsive both before and during our trip. All my questions were answered quickly. The internet connection crashed after a few days (just a weird glitch), and the owner drove an HOUR on his day off to come fix the router for us. While there is no major supermarket very close to Wellfleet, if you pick up groceries on your way in Orleans, you'll be set. There is ample dining within 10-15 minutes of the property in either direction, P-Town about 20 min away, Chatham about 30 min away, and the drive-in theatre and flea market about 15 minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this property.
