The host was accessible if needed but respectful of our privacy. The property feels secluded. There are deer that eat out of your hand. We had bunnies, a turkey and a fox pass thru on our stay. We always felt safe and loved the atmosphere. The home was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a 4 day stay. There are lots of things to do within a 20 minute drive including Palo Duro Canyon, which was our main reason for being there.

Everything was wonderful for our week there. Jerry was very welcoming and the house was stocked with everything we needed. Loved the layout of the house and especially the welcoming committee of deer. We enjoyed feeding them treats in the afternoon.

Jerry was great. The property was amazing. We will definitely be back again when I’m up there for Jeep wheeling trips. The kids loved the deer. Very peaceful stay.

This is a great house and the owners have provided everything you might need, but have gone above and beyond by providing snacks, coffees, teas, bottled water and even a bottle of wine. The place was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Easy to turn on with a built in timer. In addition Jerry turned on many of the house lights since we were arriving very late. He also helped us out with a jump when our car battery failed and even invited us to hear his band at a local restaurant. If we’re ever in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. I highly recommend it to you.

Our group of friends met up in Palo Duro to go hiking and spend time together. We could not have asked for a better place to stay! The property was beautiful. The hosts were the best we've ever experienced. There was a tornado during out stay and they checked on us and offered to have us come to their shelter for safety! We would definitely return! And the Welcome Deer were just adorable!

The area coming to the property was a little distracting, but once you find the home and enter it, it was absolutely lovely, warm and very roomy having three bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. The area was quiet and the ultimate surprise was actually coming outside and seeing the deer eating the cookies my granddaughter had left for them.

This is an unusual find. It suited our needs perfectly. The owners are extremely attentive and the home has so many details that set it apart from many vacation rentals. The “pet” deer are so fun! We brought our kayaks and had access to excellent water. We enjoyed the wildlife and hot tub each evening. The home is set back for privacy and the gated community felt safe. Highly recommend!

Wonderful property! Clean, spacious, and everything was labeled (no searching for which light switch did what) The neighborhood was so charming and unexpected! My children had a wonderful time feeding the deer and soaking in the hot tub and they loved the round shape of the house and the thoughtful snacks. My husband and I enjoyed using the grill and also the hot tub! The host was very kind and friendly. This is the best and least stressful way to do a family vacation!

This house is a lovely place to stay. The area is gorgeous- it’s at the edge of Palo Duro so there are rocky areas and hills. The home is generously appointed with everything you need for your stay. It is spotless and tidy. A sweet welcome basket full of snacks was a nice touch. The hot tub out back was relaxing. Take a deer cookie with you because you may get a visitor! My Girl Scout troop had a wonderful stay! Do not hesitate to book this location!
