Private, Unique Home w/ Large 8 Foot Deep Pool, Walk to Beach, Water View

Fantastic experience at this home. Pictures do not do it justice! So nice and calm. The best location on Kiawah. Gwen is a great help. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Kitchen is perfect for a family meal. We swam and relaxed and rang in the new year!

Our family enjoyed another stay at your home. Unfortunately, the pool remote control was not working but we were still able to enjoy the pool with manual control. We were so glad the construction on the new home next door was complete this year. See you next year!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The location is close to a path that leads directly to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and perfectly laid out for a crowd. This is our favorite house yet after many stays on Kiawah Island! Definitely will rent again.

Love this house! Saltwater pool, short walk to ocean, lots of space, and so many things provided for by owner—beach towels are a real plus as no need to pack! Kitchen supplies are abundant…including many spices, coffee filters, napkins, paper towels; laundry has Tide pods, bounce sheets. And the weather was great this week. Thanks!

We enjoyed a wonderful vacation with our children and grandchildren over Memorial Day weekend. The house was stunning, exceptionably maintained and the location could not have been better. Proximity to the beach and all the amenities Kiawah offered was perfect. Look forward to gathering next Memorial weekend on Kiawah island!

We rented the home for 4 nights as a surprise family Christmas gift for our two sons and their families. My husband and I are local to Charleston now but our sons still live in Massachusetts so a beach vacation in April was a treat for them. The home is just as pictured. Large and clean and nicely decorated, although as you can tell from the pictures it is a bit dated. But almost charmingly so - and the price fairly reflects that. Amazingly stocked kitchen as other reviewers have stated- I.e., a draw full of multi sized ziploc bags! We had a very hard time getting our 9, 7, and 5 year old grandkids to leave the pool and hot tub to take the beautiful walk to the beach. But when we did we had this huge beautiful beach to ourselves. Stunning.

Everything was perfect.

Walking easily to the beach or around the neighborhood, frolicking in a heated pool, and enjoying spacious living areas made our stay on Glen Abbey a great way to spend the holidays. The house accommodated our three generations comfortably.

We enjoyed another stay at this house. We will book again next year.

Our visit took place during a tropical storm. The house provided plenty of space for a week primary spent indoors. The kitchen is very well equipped. The pool was a treat during the brief periods of sunshine. Continuous communication was provided during the Tropical storm. We hope to come back!

Just a great house, great pool, great beach access, and great owner! You will feel like you are in your home (only with a pool!) for your stay. This is the second time we have rented 178 Glen Abbey, and we will be back if we can get a rental week. It is very booked as you can see!

The experience at this property was as good as its description and pictures. The house is beautiful and very roomy. The kitchen was fully equipped for any type meal. The communication with the host was very timely and informative. The location on Kiawah Island was special. Very quiet and remote with a 10 minute walk to the beach. The pool and spa are both heated and a welcomed relief after a day on the beach. We’d highly recommend the property if you like quiet and restful.
