This place was fabulous, clean, stocked with essentially everything you need! The lawn was large and fairly private-bring your lawn games there is plenty of room. The house has air conditioning AND lots of fans. It was very comfortable and Marta was never far away-she lives around the corner if you need anything! There was really no beach. There is a seawall and the water is probably 3ish feet deep with a bit of scuzzy seaweed on the bottom. There are nice steps off the dock but no place for little ones to play if you have small kids-itโs quite a drop. The fishing off the dock is hit or miss, you probably wonโt catch dinner off the dock. Otherwise the lake is huge-clean-and fairly shallow. We had fun kayaking but the lake can get choppy and rough quickly. The weather was also really different depending how far you were from Lake Michigan-the weather apps donโt predict well there. We had a great time otherwise even with dicey weather! The place is huge and really nice.
We enjoyed all the details that the home had to offer. The location was close to many attractions. Nice neighborhood on a quiet road. very spacious in the common areas to gather as well as the master bedroom. Two living room areas were great. The kitchen was well stocked with all that you would need to cook and store leftovers. It was nice to have a washer and dryer there. The bathroom had lots of towels. We enjoyed the outside, too. The back porch was a very large area to eat, sit and bbq. Ideal to hang out for a long period of time. The yard was well maintained and you can play outdoor games there. Sit on the dockโฆ watch the sun set. A lovely vacation
This was our first experience ever. Marta and the house/property went above and beyond!!!
Everything we could of asked for! Plenty of space, fully stocked kitchen for cooking beautiful view over Lake Hamlin
Fantastic house! Marta is a wonderful host who thinks of everything you might need and leaves fresh cookies too!
Excellent lake house that is immaculately kept. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the house, the thoughtfulness of the host (She provided cookies upon arrival and even brought cinnamon rolls one morning.), and the set up of the house. Everything was provided for, down to dog bowls and a mat for our dog. Great experience. Weโll be back.
The place and location couldn't have been any better. It was a great time to spend time with family.
We had a great experience having a quiet getaway at the lake. We enjoyed the cottage and convenience to Lake Michigan and Ludington restaurants and attractions. The large deck was especially nice for enjoying lake views.
Home is well cared for, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, and has everything you need and more. Close to several small markets and downtown and 10 minutes to larger shopping options. Hamlin Lake is really nice with good fishing; you donโt feel crowded and there are dunes you can boat to. You can dock a boat at the sea wall and even fish off the dock. The owner Marta is the definition of a host and her top concern is that her guests enjoy their stay. We will definitely be back!
The owner is the best weโve had! She personalized everything for us and made us feel welcome! I highly recommend this place! It is also close to downtown Ludington!
