Private Pool: Pilot Point Home on 45 Acres

This house has so much potential, but has not been maintained. It is a good price point for the size of the house, but it needs serious TLC. The kitchen did not contain the necessities of cooking (no can opener, not a single knife, no measuring cups, no dish towels, only 2 spoons, etc.) We bought several items and left them there, but it is seriously lacking. There was a wasps nest inside the house with wasps flying around. When informed, it took 2 days to get someone out to treat them. The beds are not comfortable and there was no cover sheet (only the fitted sheet). There was only 1 or 2 towels in each room (which most had 2 queen beds) and the towels did not appear washed (we re-washed them before use. There were random junk piles all around the property (borken basketball goals, trash, etc.). Overall, we were quite disappointed with this stay.

Although I do think the property manager tried to be helpful but I was very disappointed in the home. My opinion is it should be taken down for rental until it can be repaired. There are 7 bedrooms and I think 7 bathrooms but only 4 of the bedrooms could be used and one bathroom shower. The sheets were stained and so thin they wouldn't stay on the bed. The mattresses were also very dirty and stained. The upstairs ac did not work properly so some of the guest either left in the night or didn't even stay it was so hot. The bathrooms upstairs were falling apart and could not be used for many reasons. We had to boil water to wash dishes because the hot water didn't work in the kitchen. Luckily some family lived 25 minutes away so they could go get dish towels, wash clothes, pots and pans, fans and many other items that were not in the house. Pulling into the property it looked abandoned. The house was filthy and dusty. My oldest son had to bring his weed eater so we could use it for the back yard around the pool because the grass came to our knees. The pool was cloudy so most people wouldn't get in. The house is falling apart and needs a lot of work. I was going to see about moving to another home Friday but it would have cost so much money to change homes and the location of the party. It was for my brother's 40th birthday and I was so embarrassed to have people come out!

This was a last minute booking and a great price for our group. A few things I'll point out the yard was not kept up.It looks like they had storm damage and everything was still down the yard was not able to be used at all.The coffee pot was not there luckily we brought our own.The pool was cloudy and I had to clean the bugs out when we got there. Id highly recommend they get a property manager. It has phenomenal potential to be such a great place. Overall we had a great trip and hope they address a few things and this place will be great!!

The owners were very responsive to everything we needed. We were in town for a company event and I booked because of the 7 bedrooms. The property worked for us but it’s definitely more of an event location. If you are looking for a nicer feel more like a home this isn’t for you but for large groups and events it would be fine.

We booked this property for my sons wedding party because it was fairly close to the venue and offered enough sleeping for all. We also had the rehearsal dinner there with multiple family members. The living room space was perfect for setting up tables and kitchen is very large so great for entertaining. However when we drove up the front of the property had trash everywhere, decorations hanging from a tree from a prior event, articles of clothing of the porch, trash piles in the house, other rented tent poles still in the house, no toilet paper in most of the several bathrooms, and little black bugs everywhere, and pool was a dark green pond. The manager was easy to get ahold of and made an effort to get someone there to clean but due to the timing of our event I was forced to clean in a mad dash. With all that said parking was great, plenty of space. Rooms were very sparsely decorated but large and bed old and not so comfortable. But overall it worked great for the 14 newly college graduates to be together for the whole wedding weekend. A little disappointed but the place could a great with a little more attention to detail and making sure the property is ready for the next guests! Wish I was refunded my cleaning fee since I feel I did most of the work there!
