I celebrate Christmas each year in a short term rental with a small group of seven chosen friends. This year, we decided to book Tom’s home and everyone was incredibly pleased. The home is on top of a hill and the view is breathtaking, especially from the pool area! We brought lots of food to cook during our stay and the kitchen was stocked with all of the appliances that we needed. Since the weather was cold, I asked Tom about heating the pool and jacuzzi. He replied promptly and let me know that the pool takes a full day to heat and the jacuzzi takes two hours to heat. He also let me know that both are heated with propane gas, so we would need to pay extra to cover the cost of the gas. Be sure to cover that with him in advance if you wish to use heat in the pool/jacuzzi. We didn’t see any goats, but the horses were friendly, especially after we fed them some carrots and apples. Between meals, we played tennis, went hiking, and spent time in the jacuzzi/pool with stunning views. If you’re looking for a secluded destination property, I wouldn’t pause to recommend this home.
Your property is amazing, The heated pool and the view is by far the best. Very spacious and serene. If i'm ever back in Temecula this is where i'd want to be.
We planned a girls trip to Temecula and wanted to spend the majority of our time in the pool, spa, and BBQing. None of which ended up working. The owner called me the day before to let me know the refrigerator, pool, and spa weren’t working and he was working on getting them all fixed. He offered to cancel at no charge, but at that point it was too late to change plans. He offered a $1000 credit for the inconvenience and said he’d provide coolers if we picked up ice. They were able to fix the refrigerator and had the pool cleaned, but the spa was still not working. We arrived to TVs blasting and a kid in the pool so we thought we walked into the wrong place. A lady greeted us and said she was the owners wife and walked us through the place. She was very helpful in getting us spices, extra blankets, and towels, but I would suggest coming prepared with pool towels and all food prep necessities. They changed out the propane tank in the BBQ for us, but we still couldn’t get it to work so we ended up having to cook food for 10 girls in the oven...not ideal. The property is a bit old and outdated and there were a lot of ants...even though we were diligent about cleaning up food. The listing says there are two king beds, but there is only one. Everything else is a double or pull out couch. The water pressure was non existent and took FOREVER for the hot water to activate and you had to just get it right to not be scalded or freeze. I messaged the owner after to let him know of some of our frustrations and ask for a credit. He offered $200 and I asked what happened to the $1000? I can’t imagine the fridge working was worth $800. He said he had the pool cleaned so we agreed on $300...which I still haven’t seen. In the end we had a good time. The location was remote, which we liked, but still close to wineries. We are capable of having a good time together even in the most trying of situations. If you’re ok with rustic and outdated than this is a fine property, but not worth the cost for the issues we had to deal with. I’m not one to write bad reviews and had the owner come through on the credit I wouldn’t have posted this. Suggestion, if a credit is offered get it before. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
Beautiful home with great view, the only down side was that the pool heater was not working.
We had a blast at this property. Perfect place for a group gathering. Host is very responsive and the on site property manager was a huge help with anything we needed.
We enjoyed our Easter break on this spacious estate-Mother Nature played a good part to our enjoyment with beautiful sunny weather with great views. Our family took advantage of all the amenities: pool, hot tub, tennis courts, pool room and wonderful scenic walks! We had a couple issues that were resolved after an email to the owner. There were a couple items misrepresented on the description of the property. Only one bedroom had a king bed not three. The jacuzzi in the bathroom was non functional. The TV system wouldn’t work as a previous guest reviewed with the exact problem they mentioned that wasn’t corrected. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped with appliances and cookware. The outside grilling area was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed patio family meals! We wouldn’t hesitate to return!
Tomas' home is beautiful and my friends and I had such a wonderful stay. Thank you!
It was pretty hot when we got there and we forgot all about it as soon as we walked into this beautiful home. Clean, friendly, inviting and absolutely gorgeous. We stayed with our families because our son got married and the five bedrooms / four baths were perfect for all of us. When we go to Temecula next time, we will definitely check if the home is available. We enjoyed the pool as much as we could, for sure, it was so relaxing and so pretty! By the way, you can see more stars than ever, the night sky is so beautiful! We were sitting there for hours. It is a wonderful place to stay with your family, friends. We can highly recommend it!
Our group had an amazing time at Tom's property. The kids had so much fun visiting the horses and goat, playing tennis and swimming. House is perfect for a group of families, everyone had their own space when needed and room to spread out. Tom is very responsive and helpful throughout the stay. We will definitely come back again!
We had a blast at this beautiful estate. Wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful landscape. There’s plenty of space for friends and family to enjoy time together and plenty of bedrooms to enjoy their own privacy. I’d recommend it to anyone!
