Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was an immaculate, well-provisioned villa. Our party of six was very comfortable. The kitchen was particularly well appointed with lots of high-quality cooking gear. The management company (Burt and Krish) were very responsive. It's in a gated community in the Mauna Lani development which has is a community club with 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, gym, and large barbeque cooking gazebo for gatherings. The grocery store is 1/2 mile away. The villa is very private and has a small backyard (no view per se). We loved our stay and hope to come back some time.

Stayed Oct 25, 2025Everything was wonderful, including welcoming gifts. The cottage had everything we could have asked for. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The lanai was completely private. We enjoyed sitting out and watching the birds come to the lawn. The pool and hot tub were very close by.

Stayed May 6, 2025Beautiful property in a nice quiet/secure village. Everything lived up to our expectations. We appreciated that the garage was stocked with beach gear/chairs and a cooler (this made beach trips so much easier and more comfortable). Access to the beach club and amenities was a bonus. Overall felt like a good value for what we got. Highly recommend.

Stayed Apr 14, 2025First of all, where the heck is this place? Your disorientation is wholly understandable since the location of the rental is variously listed as Kamuela, Mauna Lani, Puako, I think I even saw a Waimea or Kohala. It is indeed on the Kona side of the Big Island. To confirm: this property is in the Mauna Lani resort, about 1/2 hour north of the airport (KOA), about a mile or maybe a little less away from the Fairmont Orchid. There is a Foodland grocery store very nearby. This house is in one of two developments, the KaMilo and the Kulalani, that share a large common pool area and fitness center. We've stayed in the Kulalani development twice in the past, which seems to have more of the adjoining townhomes; this house is in the KaMilo side, which appears to have the larger single family homes. You have keycard access to the Mauna Lani beach club and the Napua restaurant. This property is one of the best equipped we've ever stayed in. For example, it's the first rental we've had with an adequate number of tongs, which may seem like a weird metric but one of the things we often feel like we're missing when we vacation. There's all kind of beach equipment, even 3 bicycles to ride. The rental company is very responsive. The home did that great thing for vacations where the property itself kinda fades away from notice and what you remember is the ridiculous game of charades you played with the family where no one could guess that grandma's was trying to mime bear.

Stayed Mar 20, 2025We had a wonderful stay at this property with our two young daughters and my parents. The house had extremely comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and literally everything you could need - beach toys, kids games, rice cooker, etc. We had the nicest stay and the property manager was beyond helpful and accommodating. We also thought the house was in a great location with walkability to the market, Fairmont and restaurants. Would high recommend!

Stayed Nov 16, 2023This place was perfect!!! It was big and roomy and had everything we needed for a family of 4. It was soooo clean and comfortable. My teen boys loved having their own bedrooms and bathrooms. In the evenings after long day at the beach or site seeing it was nice to come home.to an air conditioned house..It was like home away from home. Before we checked in we went to Costco by the airport and stocked up on snacks and food. The house had all the cooking items and seasoning we needed son it was nice to enjoy some home cooked food which cleaved us from having to eat out every meal. The grill outside was clutch. We did enjoy some meals out. Our favorite place was Umekes fish market which was by far the best place we ate all week. They had the best Tuna Sashimi we’ve ever had!!!! The house had all the beach necessities that we needed. Chairs, ice chest, towels, paddle board. The beach is about an 8 minute drive away and was a small private beach. Perfect for families with young children. My teens enjoyed it but preferred the other beaches with waves. Which were all about 15-20 Minute drive. But was allll worth it. The beaches off site are gorgeous. We went to Kua Beach for a couple days and enjoyed the crystal blue waters.
