Private Lake: Family Home w/ Large Yard in Denver!

We could hear the host snoring below us in the master! Even turned on sounds on my phone to try to mask-Unacceptable! This is why VRBO advertises you get the place to yourself. (That was listed tho) The master shower had mildew around the base that could have been easily cleaned & hair on the wall with stains on the hand towel. The beds & couch were comfy. “Eclectic” decor was dated including MANY knickknacks, way too many pictures hanging & old rugs that need replaced. Simple fixes.

Alan, the host, is very nice. The backyard is quite large and welcoming. One thing to take note of (that I did not) is that this is not a whole house rental and there is not a washer-dryer in the rental portion.

Great neighborhood, incredible location. Our host was amazing, informative, friendly and helpful. We brought the whole family out for a concert at Red Rocks, the house location was close and made the day/week perfect. We all loved the decor, playing games and enjoyed the numerous coffee table books. We all would love to stay again when we return to the area.

We were very happy with our stay. Host was very responsive and accommodating. We grilled out a couple of times which went well. Backyard is nice with lawn furniture. Alan was a great host. Would stay again for sure. This stay was a great value.

Our family of two kids under 5, two parents and two grandparents had a wonderful stay here. Comfy house with baskets of stuffed animals, a cupboard of games, and a well-equipped kitchen--but the best part was the yard. Large, lush lawn surrounded by lovely plants and flowers, a great patio in the center perfect for hanging out, and a sweet hammock for lying in the shade and gazing up through the pine trees. Alan is a responsive, generous, friendly host, and we look forward to seeing him again.

Well located property, quiet neighborhood, expansive back yard with front and back porches elevated above street level. Nicely decorated, easy to adapt to. We were able to park 2 cars off street in driveway. No washer and dryer available and limited Television reception. All concerned we had a very positive experience.

Wonderful property in a lovely neighborhood. Owner of property could not have been more helpful and welcoming. I miss the morning walks around the lake with all the beautiful flowers in bloom. So peaceful.

Very clean, good beds, decent cooking equipment plus a great yard. Overall a nice place in a good location.

Alan was super easy to communicate with. It’s a lovely home and lovely neighborhood. My family and I enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. The basketball hoop in the front of the house was great as well. All the accommodations worked well. Would def stay there again!

The property was exactly as advertised. Pictures explained the situation and the property. There are stairs to enter the property so this might be difficult for older renters. This is an older home but the sinks and bathrooms have been updated. Kitchen was used but we did not cook a lot at the place. Oven and stove both worked and refrigerator and freezer worked as well.I was impressed by the cleanliness of the property. Fresh towels and sheets on the bed. This is always an concern and was nice to have. Place was clean, no evidence of prior renters.Landlord on property was both good and bad. Very nice person and clearly vested in the property. Did not interfere with the rental but always a concern. Was clearly described on the web site that owner lived on property.

We traveled up to Denver to reunite my brother with his dog, whom we had been fostering, after he spent a year abroad. I looked for a place that would accept dogs, as I wasn't sure exactly when the reuniting would take place. We found this home to be comfortable and pleasant, and Alan was an excellent and friendly host. The reunion was joyous, and I'll treasure the video I took of it in this home's front entryway forever. We plan to return, to visit both my brother and his dog, and would love to stay here again.

While visiting Denver we needed to add a Lakewood location at a moments notice. Like, next day check-in. Alan's 3/2 home was very comfortable, clean and fully stocked. His communication and customer service was off the charts. Woke up following a 4-inch overnight blizzard to see him clearing the snow off of my car. That is characteristic of our experience. Backyard and the lake neighborhood were both appealing. Would book again in a heartbeat.

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at Alan’s rental. The property matched the description perfectly, and the location was incredibly convenient. We even got to meet Alan, who was a pleasure to talk to and offered great recommendations. This was my first time using Vrbo, and I couldn't be happier with the experience!

House was as advertised. Back yard was awesome. Only thing that would have been nice would be ability to do have laundry facilities at house for all to use.

Such a lovely house filled with love and gorgeous BOOKS! Every inch was immaculate, and that back yard! Paradise. We walked in and felt like we were home. The neighborhood is a quiet gem tucked away but also very convenient to everything! Our host, Alan is such a kind soul and we felt like we had known him forever. We will definitely be back! I simply cannot say enough good things about our experience.
