Overall we had a great time while our stay here, Tom is quick to respond.
The Beacon was the perfect lake house getaway for our family. The house had all of the amenties needed in a quiet and pleasant lake community. It was a very relaxing time and we enjoyed ourselves.
We enjoyed our stay here. Pretty setting and very close to the lake.
Cozy little house with everything we needed . Close to everything we needed.
Great getaway cozy lake house stay!
Cottage off the beaten path for a relaxing couple of days.
Great place! Includes 5 bikes to get around the town easy, large patio with a big built in fire pit and patio furniture, and close to the lake!
Clean, cozy stay in this cottage. Clear instructions and prompt response from the owner. Would stay again!
The Beacon was a very cute cottage. Was clean and stocked well. We enjoyed our time in the area for the Mopar Nationals. It is a very small three bed 1 bath cottage that is 100 years old. Rooms are so small that you can hardly turn around in. If you like privacy this is not the place. Sheer curtains in the windows or no curtian at all. Every neighbor or passer by can see in the cottage. My daughter could not even change in her room bc no blinds. The master bedroom was backed up to the neighbors and they had light on all night that shines in room. Back door deadbolt didnt lock so was very nervous that we couldnt deadbolt door at bedtime. Floors are not same level from kitchen to livingroom be prepared for a 2 inch step up ledge thats a real toe breaker! I believe it got all 5 of us multiple times. Bathroom shower is extremely small and the door is a pull shut and hook lock. All the doors drug the floors and stuck tight when trying to open or close them. If the kids got up to use restroom in middle of night they woke the whole house bc its so loud opening the doors. Not happy about being charged a cleaning fee that is so high to have to clean the house before we leave. Sorry but thats a bit much. Strip beds empty trash throw towels in laundry room.. Ect. I have cleanned houses for vaction rentals and never had the vacationers clean b4 they leave. The ppl were friendly and the house is in a decent area but the homes are stacked tight next to each other. You can see what your neighbors are eating or watching on Tv. This was a nice place but for the price and cleaning fee i think its over priced.
The property was beautiful, and the neighborhood was cute and quiet. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay again!
I enjoyed this beautiful lake cottage with 2 of my teenage nieces and my mom. The location is ideal, a short walk to the lake. Downtown Buckeye Lake is only minutes away and the grocery store, Kroger, is 4 miles away (with a Starbucks inside). The cottage had plenty of room for the four of us. The front porch was a nice escape if the girls were watching TV. The cottage has a fire pit and a small grill if you are so inclined (we were not as I don't trust my campfire skills). The neighbors were lovely, greeting us on our morning walks around the lake. And I can't believe what an easy and fast drive the cottage is from Columbus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Our family had a great 9 night stay at The Beacon. Hosts were easy to communicate with and everything was just as described. We will definitely be back for another stay!
We had a great week as family on our vacation here! They had bikes which was perfect for everyone to go on nightly bike rides. The fire pit was great to have, we had one almost every night! With 5 of us, it was snug but we made the best of everything! The host was very quick in responding to any questions.
We had such a relaxing and wonderful time staying here. The host was great with communication and made sure we had everything we needed. We took advantage of the bikes and rode them almost everyday on the bike path. We will definitely be back to Buckeye Lake. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at this little cottage. Tom was quick to offer assistance when needed and was good to work with. The cottage had everything you’d need for a short stay. We had 4 adults in the cottage and it was probably a little too snug for this but we made it work. It was very tastefully decorated; a cute little place.
My friends and I had such a great time for a girls weekend away in this adorable home!
