It's authentic lodge experience boasts beautifully decorated, open concept spaces and an exceptional outdoor living area. Picture yourself relaxing on the massive 2 sided deck enjoying the warmth and smell of burning wood by the covered 31' stacked stone fireplace, or soaking in the bubbling hot tub. Grill and dine outdoors to the sound of a rustling forest while you gaze at the surrounding beauty and wildlife. You can be assured that night time is a magical at The Lazy Bear. The stars are so close and so bright you will feel as if you could reach up and grab one!

A true mountain retreat, this 3200 sq. ft., custom built luxury green home exists in harmony with nature in function and beauty. Geothermal, Reverse Osmosis drinking water, Natural paints etc.
It boasts 5 cozy bedrooms (each with flat screen TVs and Direct TV), 3.5 baths and 3 finished levels.
It's interior will take your breath away with it's soaring 31' Great room ceilings , 31' stacked stone wood burning fireplace, and lots of glass to enjoy nature around the clock .
The décor is beautiful and inviting because we believe that atmosphere is everything! The furniture and beds are cabin themed, comfortable and cozy. Each bedroom provides black out curtains for getting much needed rest anytime of the day!

Your guests will enjoy many upgraded amenities including:
1 GIG WIFI, 60 4K HDR SMART TV w/SOUND BAR, Direct TV (including all movie channels), DVR, SONOS Music System with indoor great room speakers and outdoor back deck speakers.

The Interior Layout:
*MAIN LEVEL-great-room living area with half bath, fully stocked gourmet kitchen including granite counter tops and coffee station, dining area and large master suite with Purple Hybrid mattress and deck access.

*UPPER LEVEL-Two quiet and cozy bedrooms with queen log beds, plush pillow top mattresses and shared full bath.

*LOWER LEVEL has heated tile floors, wood burning heat and glo fireplace, large windows, second living area, 2 comfortable bedrooms and game room with slate pool table and air hockey. One bedroom has a queen bed and bunk bed and the other has a bunk bed and roll away bed. Both share a full bath that is attached to the queen/bunk room.
There is a second refrigerator in the laundry room on this level as well as a walk out to the forest, fire pit area and deck swings.

OUT BACK:
*Upper Level: huge 2 sided deck with covered wood burning fireplace, hot tub and lounge area, both open to the sky, and a covered dining area.
*Lower Level: huge boulder fire pit surrounded by a beautiful hemlock forest with hiking trails. Play corn toss on the flat grassy area.
OUT FRONT:
*Large, private sledding hill (tubes/sleds provided).
*LBL owns the 2 lots next to it for ensured privacy and TENT CAMPING if desired.

PLEASE NOTE ITEMS INCLUDED WITH YOUR STAY:
-Additional sanitation/disinfection process (as per CDC guidelines) after each cleaning.
-Premium linen package (linens supplied and all beds made, including fresh duvet covers on every blanket for your comfort and safety.
-LARGE SUPPLY OF FIREWOOD (hardwoods kept in a dry shed) NO TRIPS TO PICK UP WOOD! (Approx. 1/8 cord of wood provided!)
-CARC membership for all guests.
This is a fully equipped gym facility with 2 indoor pools (including a warm water pool and a 6 lane competition pool), basketball, weight equipment and fitness classes.
-2 MARYLAND STATE PARK PASSES, each good for entry for 1 vehicle and all occupants at any Maryland State Park. (There are 3 close to the lodge)
-Starter items: toilet paper, paper towels, dish and laundry pods, Keurig Pods (there are also 2 drip pots and a French press) fire starters and garbage bags.
-Many spices, sugars and other staple items.

Note: 2 Retractable baby gates (provided upon request) for stairwells up/down.

WE LOVE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY! We are very involved owners and routinely maintain the property of things that need fixing, replacing, restocking and deep cleaning.

4WD/AWD and snow tires are always recommended for the area during winter months of November-March. Hilly terrain is common in this area and at at this property.
Outdoor cushions are also not available during these months. However, adirondack chairs are always available.
