This beautiful Galena property was everything we hoped for! It was quiet, clean, and spacious—perfect for a long weekend friends’ getaway. The stunning fall scenery and peaceful neighborhood within a short walk to the waterfall created the ideal setting for a relaxing trip. The only drawback was the limited transportation options to and from downtown Galena, but we’ll plan ahead for that next time. We’re already looking forward to returning next year!

Great space with a lot of stairs. It really is special out the large back windows as you walk down the the stairs to the bottom two bedrooms, kitchen, dining/game room, deck, and screened in porch. We loved it all!

We arrived to a terrible smell in the house. We immediately knew it was a dead mouse. We contacted the owner and he sent someone to get the mouse out. During the night we woke to mice running around the bedroom. There were multiple, and could not sleep at all with the noise. We contacted the owner and he sent pest control out. Pest control found another dead mouse and said there was a problem and set multiple traps inside and out. They found holes in the house that the mice were entering. The host told us we probably want to find somewhere else to stay, same day? Very hard in Galena!!! Most of the time you would be out of luck. We were just lucky another host had a property they had just fixed up and first day on VRBO. Otherwise, we would have had to cut our vacation short. It’s crazy how clean the other place was in comparison. It was also very beautiful for less. It was a blessing in disguise. I just can’t recommend ever staying in this house.

We enjoyed being a few miles out of town. We enjoyed the screen porch playing cribbage, sipping wine and great conversations.

The home was very welcoming and clean. We had everything we needed and more for a weekend getaway with family. Our hosts were very attentive by giving information prior to check in as well as checking in since a bad storm was making its way through the area.

Nice property for our family of 4. Two sitting areas are nice for extra space. Lots of games and books for a variety of ages. Kitchen is very well stocked. I loved the screened in porch- we saw a mama turkey and her babies and it was wonderful for bird watching. We always love having access to the owners club as well. The property owners were very responsive to questions and were even kind enough to let us check in early. It was a great stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the house!

Very clean and well stocked! Owners’ Club passes were a plus! Many stairs if someone in your group has knee problems. Very easy to find house from Galena.Would have been nice to have instructions for TV operation-not familiar with ROKU.

Great location being only 15 min from downtown Galena, very quiet area. Great trails and areas to walk & hike.

Very cute property surrounded by trees and sounds of nature. Access to the Owner's Club is amazing. We spent every day there swimming, playing ping pong, bags, and basketball. My husband really enjoyed the screened in porch and that is where he could enjoy the sounds and block out the sounds of the kids when they were being too loud I loved completing the 1000 piece puzzle while looking out at the beautiful backyard. Overall a wonderful trip in a picturesque setting.

Great location for a weekend getaway with the family.

We were happy to see the pictures matched the home well. We started our days at the gym and game room at the Owners Club. My daughter and I swam laps one morning too. It was warm enough to sit on the deck in the afternoons and play games after shopping on Main St. This home was stocked well with paper products so we didn't have to run to grab anything. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the primary bathroom too.

We stayed at this property because we wanted to be outside if downtown Galena but also be within driving distance. It was an easy 10 minute drive to downtown. Clean house and they had everything we needed!

We really enjoyed our visit. Very nice little house. Beautiful area, access to the owners club was an added bonus. Very convenient to Galena. Anxious to come back in the summer time.

The owners were very kind and accommodating. We loved the fireplace loft area. My friends and I mostly spent our time there playing games and hanging out. It was very cozy. We wish it was warmer out to enjoy the outdoor area. It was SO cute out there. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice setting. Cool at night. We would have appreciated an extra blanket for each bed.

The house is amazing. Pictures are very accurate. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen and bath were great. Just a short drive to downtown Galena. The countryside is amazing. Five sisters in our sixties…we laughed so much. We would definitely stay there again.

The overall stay was good; however, the home needs a little love. Hooks in walls, but no artwork; so many scuffs on walls that could easily be rectified with touch up paint; one small bedroom has no closet, or even hooks to hang anything. It's kind of like the 3 bears. Master br. is huge with night stands, dresser, TV, trash can, closet, luggage stand, and nice mattress, 2nd br. smaller with 2 night stands, closet, hang rack on wall, luggage rack, trash can, & TV. 3rd br. has a bed & 2 night stands. Nowhere to hang clothes, not even a hanging rack on wall. That was disappointing.

This home was the perfect place for a girls weekend. Clean and plenty of room for our group of 5. We spent most of the weekend exploring Galena, but spent nights staying up late talking and playing games!

The house was even better than expected. Very clean, fit seven adults just fine. Loved the open concept and the beautiful property. Perfect for our long weekend in Galena - close enough to downtown but not too close!
