Private 2 Acres! Fire Pit, Hot Tub, Game Room AND Movie Room, Bunk Room!

Basswood Lane was an amazing stay! We visited Galena and stayed at this home, which absolutely met all of our needs. When it came to the cleanliness and all the amenities, the house has to offer. It was a perfect home for all of our families. Downtown is a 15 minute drive and close to a bunch of shops and eatery in town. Weather came to the hot tub, the movie theater room or the amazing dining room table. All we did was laugh and enjoy our time at this house. Such a cool spot. All of our kids loved it and we created some great memories this weekend thank you for letting us stay at your home and I 10 out of 10. Recommend this house. PS this was also one of the first houses that I have ever been to that legit had everything that you have at your own home. Pots pans, utensils, you name it this house had it. Look forward to staying here again in the future.

The home is warm and cozy in a secluded, wooded area. The fire is perfect for snowy nights, the home theater is great for watching favorite holiday flicks. We always have dinner together at one of the many restaurants in downtown Galena. The host is responsive and the home is always clean.

I would highly recommend this house! We rented this house for a Senior Mom/Daughter trip. There were 4 daughters and 4 moms and this house couldn’t have been more perfect. The girls loved the bunk room and us adults all had our room and bathroom. The large dining room table was perfect for games and the living room was enough room for us all to relax. The decorating and different themed rooms was so neat. We loved the rustic feel. Pictures don’t do it justice. The garage with the games was a nice added touch. It was close to Galena to enjoy some shopping and dining too. We enjoyed looking at the book about the family making the home their own. The only negative was we wished we had more time there. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the family for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Lot of space, perfectly clean, has everything we needed, very cozy, beautiful quiet setting. Owners complex was great for the kids. Unfortunately we left one of our bags there and discovered only when we returned home, and the owner was incredibly gracious and went way out of his way to make sure we got it back quickly. Highly recommend this place if you’re going to galena and we will definitely return. If I could give it more than 5 starts I would.

Our stay was excellent. The location of the house and the amenities worked out well for our family. Having a game room was awesome for the kids of all ages. There was ample space for everyone.

Very cutely decorated. Very comfortable couches and beds. The understairs playroom was a hit for the little ones and the game room was fun for the older ones. We really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool at the owners club. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The only issue we had was the carpet felt damp in areas of the basement and there were some ants in the kitchen. Otherwise it was clean and very accommodating for a family with young children. We would definitely stay there again.

The property was so beautiful and extremely well kept! There was plenty of space and so many fun things to do at the property alone! We all thought it was so comfortable and cozy- we will definitely be back!

It’s the third time we stayed and it’s a great place for our large group. We already have it booked for next year.

Very pleased with how well the kitchen was stocked with utensils and dishes. Lots of space for everyone, enjoyed the hot tub, firepit, and the big dining room table. Beautiful surroundings with trees and flowers. Kids really had fun in the game room.

We booked Timber Ridge for an extended weekend. 6 adults and 4 kids had a great time in the house and in visiting Galena's sites. Kitchen was well stocked so we could cook family meals. Plenty of bedrooms and baths. Game room was a bonus! Highly recommended!

Our family had ages 19 months - 65 and we all found something to enjoy. The kids really liked the hidden room where they could cook for us. The adults enjoyed the hot tub, and we ALL enjoyed the LARGE table and the recliners. Thanks for sharing your home with us :)

There were three families, all with small children and we did not feel short on space at any moment during our stay! There was plenty for all the kids to do, and space for the adults to be away from children while they were sleeping. The game room was super fun for everyone and the playroom under the stairs was so fun for our children of varying ages! We super appreciated the large enough table to be able to fit all of our guests and all of the accommodations made for even our littlest group member. Linda was very helpful during our stay and answered questions promptly. We had a wonderful experience and stay at Timber Ridge and would absolutely stay again!

We all fit around the dining room table. We all fit on the patio deck at the same time. We each had a real bed and woke up comfortably refreshed. Plenty of bathrooms. The decor was homey. We cooked and ate most every meal from the well equipped kitchen. The beautiful golf course was down the street and the interesting street of shops in Galena was a short drive. We would stay again in this beautiful treetops setting, in a heartbeat.

Reviewer Comments: This was the first time my parents, sisters and I have been together on vacation in almost 40 years, and Timber Ridge proved to be the perfect property for our group.The home is nestled in the woods at the back of a private cul-de-sac providing a serene, peaceful setting for gatherings. The rooms are clean and inviting and the furnishings are comfortable. The kids loved the lower level, with the bunk house, theater room, and easy access to the hot tub. The game room next to the garage was a great escape for the younger kids too! If I had to post any negatives, it would be the pillows and the tub in the main floor bedroom. The pillows were flat and could probably use replacing, and the tub has a slow drain so my wife and I were standing in 2 of water after every shower. Small issues to be sure, but worth noting.We would certainly return to Timber Ridge in the future and recommend this property to anyone looking for a property to accommodate a large group.

This was our second year staying at this lovely home. There were eleven of us and we had plenty of room for all. We enjoyed the screen porch, large dining table, hot tub etc. We are looking forward to staying again next summer.
