Stayed Jul 22, 2023We stayed at this property for a week in July 2023 with 4 family friends, 17 people ages 12-55. Our overall experience was absolutely perfect. When booking from the US 9 months prior we got a good feel of the property which was equal or even above our expectations but we really didn’t know what an awesome town and area we would be staying in. Property: from the minute we walked in the door we were in love. All rooms were comfortable with lots of areas to get quiet time but we spent most of our time in the stunning summer kitchen and backyard. We cooked most our dinners at the house. Very easy to cook and serve 17 people. Beautiful refreshing pool with multiple sitting areas with lots of shade options. Large outdoor table to eat and play games. Ping pong table and trampoline. We enjoyed the cactus landscaping on the deck and lots of time exploring the property with artichoke bushes, pomegranate trees, lavender, rose bushes and ochre cliffs. Constant Cicadas singing and swallows swooping and a town bell tower that rang every hour. When we left the house we were always excited to return. Town. Right outside the front door was the vibrant beautiful town of Roussilion. It was absolutely charming. So many shops, artists, restaurants, ice cream stands, a bakery and butcher. Was so fun exploring and our kids could just go out on their own. A Thursday market and Wednesday night rock band on the square for dancing. Lots and lots of beautiful day trips within 30min - 1hr.

Stayed Jul 8, 2023Our extended family had a lovely stay in Roussillon. Highlights of the house - big common space, beautiful pool/patio/view, ping pong table, big kitchen for cooking meals together, many bedrooms with sufficient bathrooms. We would highly recommend this rental property for big family gatherings!

Stayed Jul 23, 2022We were one big family, 4 generations (17-86 years + 2 kids 4 and 1 year). There are many stairs in the house and outside so it's not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Pool area is not fenced.

Stayed Jul 2, 2022A group of 4 families spent a week together here in charming Roussillon, and it was – you guessed it – superb. The house is huge, well equipped, could not be better situated, and Roussillon is a lovely place for kids and adults alike, with easy access to fun day trips. Worth noting the pool (beautifully warm in summer), trampoline, sleeping quarters, games, abundance of local ice cream and pastries, screening room, etc. make it especially great for families, including with young kids. (Toddlers might be tough, as the house is full of stone stairs, but babies and kids were great.) Only downsides: the internet – everywhere in Roussillon, as far as we could tell – is slower than cell speeds; the 10k-square-feet and abundant stairs do mean that you get your exercise navigating the house (which would be tough for anyone with mobility challengers), and there was some indication that the labor pool in Roussillon is just small, meaning e.g. that when the cleaners arranged by the house's (great) concierge got COVID, there were no alternatives to swap in, and when we wanted babysitting for an adult night out, we could only find one person for 7 kids (though she was great). Also: don't miss the hike from the property! It's magical, like a private oasis, and leads to some brilliant works of art visible at nearby properties. Overall, hard to imagine a better place or services for our group. It was magical.
