Charlottesville, Virginia
Renovated 1900's home in the trendy and centrally located Belmont neighborhood. Our house is situated adjacent to 2 lovely Norway Spruce Trees on a beautiful residential street, and a block away from some of the best restaurants in Charlottesville: Mas Tapas (Spanish), Tavola (Italian), Lampo (Neopolitan Pizzeria), The Local (American), Junction (Modern Mexican), The Local Smokehouse (BBQ), Southern Crescent (Creole Cajun), and La Taza (Coffee, Latin-American, Brunch). Stroll an easy 15 minutes to our Saturday Farmer's Market, Music Pavilion, and the Downtown Mall's unique shopping and eateries. Exactly 2.5 miles from The University of Virginia. Exactly 3.5 miles from Monticello-the home of Thomas Jefferson. Approximately 30 minutes to Shenandoah National Park/Blueridge Parkway. Outdoor opportunities (hiking, biking, fishing, paddling, etc.) abound when enjoying Charlottesville, Albemarle and the surrounding counties' natural beauty. Perhaps after an excursion, the opportunity to visit local wineries, breweries, and distilleries are almost endless.
The house is best suited for a family of 3-4, as it is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. However, it can accommodate 5-6 as we can provide an inflatable mattress (Aerobed). Typical conveniences include, a well appointed kitchen, wireless internet, apple tv & local channels (no cable), and washer & dryer. The kitchen opens towards the 8 seat dinning table for easy at home base meals or entertaining. An over-sized circa 1895 lions foot cast iron-soaking tub converts to a soaking shower with divine pressure and "endless" hot water. Our front porch has outdoor chairs and a porch swing. Mixed with sun and shade, the bluestone backyard patio has an outdoor table and chairs, and overlooks the lawn and garden. Weber Charcoal Grill is parked nearby.
There isn’t a thing we would change. Great host, location and special attention to a few comfort amenities - locally roasted coffee, fr sh backed cookies and local wine! We will be back.
Great location, excellent property, Jeff is accommodating and easy-going.
This was a sister weekend trip to visit some wineries. The house was amazing in many ways. It was one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. Restaurants and night life were an easy walk (1 mile or less). The host was very responsive to any questions and I plan to stay again soo. Great place.
Needed getaway with young adult kids before college started up. Wonderful modernized bungalow style home with a helpful host. The walkability to both the Belmont shops and restaurants is great as is the short walk to downtown. And it's a quick drive to Monticello/Carter Mountain and just 30 minutes to the Blue Ridge Mtns. The whole family loved it.
Had such an amazing time at the property, the owner was amazing, will definitely be back!
The walkability of this home is fantastic, in a great neighborhood. We were welcomed with gourmet cookies and a bottle of white wine. We’ll be back.
We loved our stay in this beautiful house in a great neighborhood. Everything was very clean, and the owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Belmont is a perfect place to stay in town, with a number of great bars and restaurants and a quick walk to downtown.
We had such a great stay! Excellent location, super clean, very good communication. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
We loved our weekend in Charlottesville. The house is in a great location (easy walk to Belmont restaurants and morning coffee) and we loved the mix of historical and modern within the house. The owner provided great check-in instructions and the house had everything we needed for a fun, relaxing weekend.
A very nice 2 bedroom house located within a few minutes walk of great dining. And while at the house, the front porch, backyard, and spaces within are all clean and comfortable. Jeff, the owner left a list of favorite restaurants and coffee, and was easily reachable. We may be back!
