Guntersville, Alabama
This beautiful, large (3.200 sq. ft.) brick home in Guntersville City Limits is close to everything but still private. This very desirable neighborhood is where you want to stay! This home is located in a deep water cove that is perfect for fisherman and for docking your boat to the pier/boathouse. (Boathouse is locked for owners use only.) You will spend countless hours at the dock fishing and swimming. There is even a water slide for the kids, and a paddle boat for your enjoyment! Double Car Garage! Huge, level front yard and large level backyard is ready for games, picnics on the big table, or sipping your morning coffee in the large swing by the water's edge. A jet ski dock is located at the dock/pier for your jet ski. NO STAIRS to the Lake! Only 2 Stairs to get into the house!!!
We loved this property! The spacious ranch style and level yard is wonderful for the over 70 crowd. The three separate living areas gave us plenty of space to spread out, but we still gathered in the glorious kitchen! We really enjoyed the dock, swing, and paddle boat. I am a Guntersville native with family still in the area, so this was the perfect place for family members to drop by for a visit. Very kid friendly. My 5 y/o grandson had a blast. We hope to rent this property again next year.
This property was very clean and the location on the water couldn’t have been better!
Our family enjoyed staying at the lake house. The view from the kitchen was beautiful, having a three bed and bath house made it easy for everyone and the dock was enjoyed by all with everyone reeling in fish. The hosts was very kind surprising us with a breakfast roll! The children had plenty of toys to play with including a ping pong table, pool table and dart board for the adults. The large kitchen table provided hours of card playing, eating and visiting. Everyone wants to return!
Pops house was a great location for our family weeekend at the lake. We brought our 23’ boat. Perfect size for the dock. Gotta be careful how tall it is though. Our boat is about 8’ from water line clearance and we were barely making it to pass the bridge to exit towards the rest of the lake. Municipal Boat ramp was very wide and friendly. Careful taking a trailer through Wyeth rd. some steep hills and narrow curves. Better go through Guntersville town and to Municipal ramp. Is the exact same time. House is very big and cousy. spacious. Has all you need. Communication with management was fairly quick and easy.
The water access is great with steps into the water and plenty of space to leave water toys. Unfortunately the house was very humid inside. We did find dehumidifiers In closets and ran them during our stay. By the end of the second day, the house wasn’t as clammy, but we had to empty the dehumidifiers a few times a day. Not a chore I wanted while on vacation. The oven worked but the temperature seemed off, took longer to cook then instructed. Hard to cook on the stove because the smoke alarm was overly sensitive. We triggered it several times, very annoying. The above made our stay less then Five Stars.
