The pool heat is on-demand, meaning we do not heat it when it's not in use or when no guests are staying. It heats up about 3 degrees per hour and it can get down into the 60's during the winter so if you want it heated upon your arrival please keep that in mind and notify us. October Through the end of May the charge is $150/day if pool heating is paid upfront for every day of the stay or $200/day if not. Spa only heating is $50/day if prepaid for the entire stay and $75/day if not. Most resorts heat pools into the low 80's we allow guests that pay for pool heat to heat pool to the mid-80's and spas as high as they like. Please keep in mind, mid-winter, larger pools will have a hard time even reaching mid-80's, pool temperature is not guaranteed, however, generally low to mid 80's is common, even mid-winter. Pool chiller cost $100/day.
Typically the pool needs to be heated from October through end of May. While the pool needs to be cooled during the summer. There's a pool cooling system for the summer. Pool and spa heat is minimal from June to September and you can heat the pool up to 83 degrees for up to 12 hours per day and the spa as high as you like for up to 12 hours per day from June to through the end of September at no additional charge. October Through May the charge is $150/day if pool heating is paid upfront for every day of the stay or $200/day if not. It costs the same to cool the pool during the summer.
During the colder months, the pool and spa cannot be efficiently heated at the same time. It's best to heat the pool to the desired temp, then start heating the spa about 45 minutes prior to use. If you elect to pay for pool heat, you can message us 24 hours prior to arrival to start heating the pool. We recommend that you download the app and control the temperature yourself upon arrival.

The desert has extreme temperatures, including sustained daytime temperatures of over 100 degrees. With such high temperatures, ACs can struggle to cool homes by more than 25 degrees. Boatman bugs are common in pools with biologically safe water. If food is left out, ants will come, and if doors are left open, flies will come.
These are a part of life in the desert and not grounds for a refund.

Cancellation policy and procedures
Our goal is to keep our prices as competitive as possible, in order to keep them competitive it's important that we avoid the losses that come from cancellations.
Owners of these properties depend on the income and last-minute cancellations result in lost revenue through vacancy and lower prices.
For those that don't like the risk that comes with cancellation policies, we strongly recommend you look into travel insurance. We can recommend one for you.
If you didn't purchase the travel insurance offered by the booking channel, or the one we recommend, you will likely not get any refund.
To ask for an exception to our policy you must first cancel through the booking channel. Exceptions are up to individual owners and are very rare. Your best chance is to ask for a credit to be used for a booking for the same property.
The credit can to be used within the window you cancelled. Ie. If you cancel 3 days before your stay and the owners payout is $4500, you didn't purchase travel insurance you may ask for a credit to be used to reserve the same property no more than 3 days before the drag you want to use the credit for.
Example request.
"I had to cancel because my kids are sick. I didn't purchase the recommended travel insurance. My stay is 3 days away. I'm requesting a credit for the owner payout amount to be used to reserve the same property 3 days before our stay. I.e, we want to stay August 23rd so I will make a request on August 20th if the unit is still available.
Thanks."
We will share this with the owner and encourage them to allow us to agree.
No exceptions will be made if the process is not followed.
Sincerely,
Everyday Luxury Inc.

Lovely property. We had the central heater in guest house not working but manager attended to it immediately by sending in an electrician; and when he could not repair it, 2 brand new portable heaters were delivered. Our family celebrated my birthday all in good spirits and had a good time!
The house and casita were perfect for 8 adults to be very comfortable! We heated the hot tub which is large enough to hold all of us comfortably! I would stay here again!
Gorgeous property with a breathtaking view of the mountains! This home was extremely clean and I loved the modern furniture. Checking in was simple and getting in contact with the property manager was easy. I would love to stay here again in the near future.
This place is beautiful over all, The beds are super comfortable, This old ranch style is a great place for seclusion. It feels like you're miles away from anyone. The house is really comfortable and set up great for friends and family to hang out. The only down fall we found was the guest house water didn't get very hot, and this was my fault on reading the small print but you have to give notice to pre heat the hot tub at a cost. but this is a great place.
The Ranch is a truly beautiful property, with a view of a row of palm trees and mountains in the distance from the front of the house/pool. We used both the main house and the guest house, which allowed plenty of room for everyone in our party. The common area/living room in the main house is a bit small but there is also a sitting are and TV off of the open kitchen. There is more common space in the guest house, which was a surprising layout but not a big deal. The real gem of the property is the front lawn/pool area and adjoining spa which is enormous, so perfect for a group to hang out in. I think we were some of the first guests to stay at the property so there were a few kinks that still needed to be worked out (e.g. no window coverings in the guest house), but I'm sure they will be addressed soon if they haven't already been. The property manager was easy to communicate with and usually responded promptly. The location is not terribly convenient to interesting shops or restaurants but, honestly, we enjoyed the property that we had no interest in leaving. We cooked a lot in the well-appointed kitchen and used the BBQ as well. The location would, however, be perfect for Coachella, as it's just minutes from the festival grounds. Our group of two families goes to the desert 2-3 times a year together and rent houses--this was our most best property find yet!
I’m not one to gush about vacation rentals, but this place definitely made an impression. Even the pictures don’t do it justice. We were one of the first to stay in the house, and it felt like it was a luxury resort. Every room in the house has views and access to the outdoors and feels spacious and airy even with three kids and four adults. The highlight (as we expected from the photos) was the pool which sits in a 5 acre private estate. Both the pool and the hot tub face west, so it’s the perfect place to catch the sun setting into the mountains. Just make sure you heat up the hot tub ahead of time, we learned the hard way that it takes about 30 min to get hot. Chevy and John were also good about responding to our questions and making us feel taken care of during our stay. Our biggest complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! Final tip: There’s a massive grapefruit tree right next to the house which you can pick to make juice for breakfast or cocktail mixers.
