Pool Oasis w/ KING Bed & Firepit

Although we originally booked this home because it was pet friendly, we opted not to bring our little maltipoo. The home was spacious and comfortable; the sheets were soft, the beds and pillows nice. However, there was no WiFi for the entire time of our stay, and the fireplace did not work, which took away the ambiance of a cozy Christmas getaway. The left sink in the master bath had no cold water, although the right side sink was fine. Several lights in the master vanity were out. All the appliances in the kitchen worked fine, but the ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator did not work, so we had to buy ice. The dishwasher and washing machine were also very loud. The backyard was a mess. There were leaves in the pool, and most concerning was that there was no safety rail around the pool. We are aware that there are different standards for different locations, but we would not have brought a toddler to this home during warmer weather for fear of an accidental drowning. The firepit outside worked fine, but we needed to wipe down the furniture (luckily we had brought some cleaning wipes, because there were no spray cleansers in the house, although there was plenty of dish soap and dishwasher detergent, as well as laundry detergent.) We also had no check-out instructions, so we stripped the beds, took out the trash, wiped down as much as we could in the kitchen, started the dishwasher, and put all the towels and sheets in the laundry room.

We had a fabulous time at this house. The house was great, plenty of towels. , shampoo, TP, etc. We did get delayed checking in for about 45 min and had to message/call a few times. Luckily we had family close so just went to there house til we heard back. We also didn’t get the WiFi info. It’s really helpful when the WiFi info and clean up requirements are on a laminated paper on the refrigerator. We also couldn’t use either fire pit. One was overgrown and the other we couldn’t figure out. We didn’t know the pool maintenance is on Tuesday so a random man was back there which freaked me out initially. Also says it’s dog friendly but there is no latch on the gate or a back fence. Labels on lights are helpful too. We’re also not used to the wolf spiders, yikes! There were some wasp nest outside too, so maybe some pest control. All quick/easy fixes. We’re thinking about renting it next year too!

The inside of the house was as the photos indicated but the outside was a huge disappointment. The front porch was dirty and the rugs were piled in a corner. There were many large spider webs right as you walk up to the porch. The front grass had been mowed but the back yard had high weeds and the pool was dirty. The property advertised pets were ok but the back yard was not completely fenced. We could find only two bath wash cloths and 3 towels in the entire house. There was no dishwashing cloths or drying towels in the kitchen. Also, there were basically no pots/pans to cook with. I did call and speak with the owner about these issues … he sent someone out to mow the grass and clean the pool. He asked what I thought would be a fair refund for these issues and I requested he talk it over with the other owner of the property and let me what they felt was fair. I never heard back from him. I believe it was on our 2nd day at the property my dog alerted me that someone was in the yard. I looked in the driveway and say a car there and when I looked in the back yard there was an unknown man using the hose giving his dog a bath! The umbrella on the back porch had fallen over on the patio furniture and just left that way so the patio couches could not be used. My husband and I tried to lift it but we are both in our 70’s and it was just too heavy. The owner was made aware of this also but no attempt was made to correct it. I am attaching several photos but can send more.

This house was just as listed. The home was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.

Booked this property based upon the pictures of the pool and the outside. Would have been nice to know that the pool was not functional for the trip. (Please let guests know when pool season is in Arkansas.) Would have been good if the outside furniture was clean and we could have enjoyed that also. Overall, it is a nice property.

The house is very nice. The front entrance was a little unkept. Many spider webs that have obviously been there a while. The home itself was beautiful, however the fireplace and jetted tub were inoperable. One of the reasons we chose this house was for those amenities. The backyard was great!!! We enjoyed using the fire pit and sitting around visiting and joking with each other. Overall, it was a great experience. The minor things I have noted are just for future reference.

Grandkids had fun in the pool. Very clean. Needed more than 4 washcloths for 2 nights tho…

The host was very responsive. Addressed any questions very quickly. The backyard has a salt water pool and trampoline. My nieces and nephews came over and didn’t want to leave. We thought the house was very well laid out.

The house was very clean and roomy. The host responded promptly when we had questions. The kitchen could use a bit more cooking utensils (pots/pans) but it worked for us because we dined out a lot.

Everything was perfect! The house was gorgeous and was perfect for an overnight stay.
