Pipers Run - Belle Escapes Jervis Bay

The house location is amazing, it's less than 100m from the beach. However, the place itself was not the most comfortable or clean. We found sand on two beds and the floor. There was only 1 tea towel for the whole kitchen (we had to buy more at Coles). Two burners from the stovetop weren't working. No aircon or fans. No linen or towels provided, so we came in with linen that was too small for the beds.

Location is very close to beach. I'm surprised with the variety pots and pans provided in the kitchen.

Wonderful location & green outlook, very comfortable house with all we needed for our holiday.

My advice is: bring a good toolbox with you. To say it is outdated is to say nothing. Not easy to decide from what point to start ... Well, maybe: 1) Bathroom on the ground floor. The lock just falling down, literally to your hand. Lucky I have a screwdrivers set in the car, we've fixed it 2) Bathroom upstairs. The locker work 8/10 times like russian roulette. My niece, a little girl, been locked here and she was really scared 3) Anti-insect door screen upstairs. It needs 4 minutes to open it, then 5 minutes to close. Be careful with that 4) Furniture, shower supplies etc. Everything is from 60's and be sure you wouldn't fall for nostalgia because I'm afraid that it didn't work even in 60's 5) Belle Property who's managing this house using Security Bond scheme that looks like a scam

My family had a great stay at Pipers Run. Literally 5 minutes from Nelson Beach, which is possibly the best family beach in Jervis Bay - usually sheltered from the wind with crystal clear water and very small waves. The house is set back from the beach behind bush - you can't see the sea but can hear it and it is very sheltered. The house is a bit tired, but therefore perfect for small children as there isn't much they could further scuff. The general cleanliness was fine as a good cleaning service comes in between bookings to do bathrooms and surfaces, but we found the client-cleaning policy for the rest to be terrible. Dishes and cutlery dirty, oven dirty, bbq disgusting, dishwasher clogged with prawn shells (seriously!), drawers and cupboards grubby inside... everything we wanted to use we had to wash first. The agents should really do an inspection between bookings like they say they will in the terms and conditions. The next clients will have a nice stay though, as we left things sparkling and unclogged the dishwasher! Awesome beds in the main bedrooms, and perfectly adequate beds in the downstairs bunkroom. Excellent washing machine. Elderly dryer but it worked. Loads of heaters and down doonas so good for a winter stay too. My kids loved having their own playroom downstairs. We would come again.
