Overall, we had a very pleasant stay here. We had a few issues at first, but the property manager was on top of it right away. The location was perfect to explore all the nearby caverns, parks and mountain hiking. The heaters worked great (in December), there were plenty of beds and kitchen accessories. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
This was a great location for our Christmas rendezvous with our married son and teenage daughters. The farmhouse was beautifully decorated and adequately furnished for our needs. Our girls were especially delighted to stay in the cute attic room with their own bathroom. The home is centrally located for easy access to the stunning Luray Caverns, a nature trail along the river, shopping, and even the Appalachian trail. The owners communicate quickly anytime we had a question. As is communicated in the description, the home is older and the bathrooms are small, but we really enjoyed our time in this charming home.
This property was lovely. The house was so cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the view, the hot tub, the downtown area, and how close we were to Shenandoah National Park. Plenty of room for our family. I would highly recommend this rental.
This property was great!! The house was clean and very cozy!! Lots of room too. Loved the location. Close to all the attractions. Property manager very nice and available for assistance when needed. Highly recommend this rental!!!
The location was a good distance (about 30min driving) to Shenandoah for a weekend getaway. There were a couple things about the house that were disappointing. A major reason we booked it is the hot tub. Unfortunately we couldn't use it because it was raining all weekend and there is no cover. It's weird because there is a structure around the hot tub but the top is open and exposed. Also, its next to their neighbors fence and they have a dog who was barking, not exactly the romance vibe we had hoped for. The kitchen is not really stocked well for cooking, so if you need oil/butter/spices don't count on them having other than salt and pepper. Finally, in the bathroom the pole for the curtain kept falling down while we were trying to shower. That was probably the most annoying part. We tried to put it back up multiple times but it kept falling.
beautiful and clean house, there were more beds than was shown in the pictures. We went to the nearby Shenandoah national park which was really pretty. We were disappointed that we couldn't use the hot tub as it was really dirty but the host said she would take care of it
