The cabin is beautiful, the location perfect, and the surroundings a dream. Unfortunately, the cabin was dirty—filled with spider webs and spiders, and the vents were full of dust, as was the rest of the cabin. We are allergic to dust and struggled to breathe. The bathtub in the downstairs bathroom was dirty, with actual dirt in it. I am sad to report this, because if it weren’t for these issues, it would have been an amazing experience.

The rental was comfortable and in a nice location. Unfortunately, with eight guests we were only provided seven towels and two washcloths. It may seem like a small detail, but it did impact our experience.

Wifi did not work. Otherwise everything else was great. Spent quality time with my son and daughter in law and my two small grand kids. They love it. It was quiet and relaxing. Loved the lake, beautiful scenery.

This was a nice house with a great location. Not lakeside but that’s only a 4 minute drive. Super close to ski summit. Check in was easy. My kids and I spent the 4th of July weekend here. However, the house had some downsides. The house itself was super clean and has everything you need to get by. Maintenance and TLC is where it lacks. We couldn’t get in because the front door handle was worn out and broke. Maintenance had to let us in. The shower heads leak and spray all over also the screws that hold the shower handle base plate on are falling out, couldn’t turn the handle so I screwed them in partially. The pool table is a balancing act, one good bump and it’s going over. The best one yet, I nearly cut my toe open as they have a nail at the top stair tread holding the carpet down I guess, it isn’t flush which makes it a hazard. I stepped on it several times even though I knew it was there. If the wrong person rents this place a law suit could happen if they do cut their foot.Ants were everywhere on the bathroom counters and occasionally on the kitchen counters. These items aren’t that hard to fix and not that costly, could save them a ton of headache down the road. We have a cabin in the woods in another state and have bugs and don’t mind them to a degree, but this one could use a good exterminator more frequently. Overall good place and with some minor maintenance/ upgrades could be better. We would stay again due to location.

Everything looked good when I was reading about the cabin online. They communicate thru email and text. They give you an address where to go to check in at 3 pm. When we get there at 3 pm . No one is there so after several minutes of waiting I call the number and they tell me check in is virtual thru email. They should have made that more clear instead of us going to the check in address and wasting time. When we get to the cabin everything looked good but after a couple of hours we start noticing things wrong with the cabin. First one of the windows is missing blinds so we had to get creative and find a way to cover the window especially at night because we didn’t want to feel like anyone could be peeping thru the first floor window at us especially when it’s really dark outside. Second we noticed the heater was not heating that night so it was pretty cold that first night. 3rd we wanted to try the jacuzzi but when we looked at the water it was pretty dirty and there was a dead squirrel at the bottom of the tub. So no jacuzzi that night. I called the management early the next morning so they said they would send someone for the heater and jacuzzi. When we were about to leave that morning to go to snow summit the heater guy came so we had to wait a few minutes for him to replace the thermostat so that delayed our morning plans. The only other issue we had was on our last day to check out was 11:00 am. If you forgot anything after that you have to wait for the cleaners.

Awesome property for our 4th of July at Big Bear Lake! Location near Snow Summit was close to Big Bear Marina for pontoon boat fishing, fireworks at Ski Beach Park, hiking at Snow Summit and the Big Bear Zoo. Check-in was quick and smooth and garbage disposal at 2 drop-off sites was really nice. The property was clean and roomy for 5 adults.
