This cozy spot was in a perfect spot for getting to many out door adventures. We had a wonderful time. We had a fire in the wood burning stove each night. Everything we needed was close by. We would definitely stay again.
Our stay at the Pine Bluff cottage was quiet and comfortable. This downstairs apartment is well furnished and stocked and nicely decorated. We were in town for our son’s wedding in Florissant and this was a great location midway between Colorado Springs (Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, etc) and Florissant. When i was reading through reviews there were a couple that mentioned the drive. It is a little narrow and might be considered a little steep, but we had no trouble navigating it with a mid-size SUV or a large pickup. It might be more difficult in snow or ice, but there is parking space at the top and you could walk down. Compliments to the host on the kitchen accommodations (nice pots and pans, coffee maker, bean grinder, knifes, utensils, flat ware, bake ware, etc.) and linens.
Large open floor plan with nice size bedrooms. Just a few blocks from downtown but far enough away that you feel like you are in the country. Love staying in Woodland Park.
Clean, quiet house within walking distance to downtown.
House was very cozy. Location was great!
We had a great stay. The property has a great view of the mountains, was clean and had lots of space.the location was great as it was close to lots of things to do. We experienced Garden of the Gods, the Royal Gorge, the cliff dwellings, Manitou Springs, and local restaurants.
Overall we had a great time. The place was clean nice and cozy. Very comfortable beds.
We booked a six-night stay. A Winter storm pushed across Colorado on the day we were to arrive, so the roads were closed from the South and from the East, so we were forced to stay in West Texas the first night. We asked to be comped that day (a Wednesday) but were denied. When we arrived after dark the next day, we were following the Google map as instructed to do and it took us to the wrong location. We were unable to reach anyone for help before a Good Samaritan put us on the right track. When we finally arrived, there was a steep hill just below the property that we barely made it up with our front-wheel drive vehicle. Nowhere on the property listing did it say that that we would need 4WD in Winter months to access the property. Other listings did mention that fact, so we avoided booking those. Inside the property was very clean, but the beds were horrible. They were too soft and rolled to the middle. Not comfortable at all. We also couldn’t light the gas fireplace (stove) following the written instructions because we couldn’t get the vent to stay open to vent the smoke. Every attempt we made to contact management was met with denial or just flat ignored. For instance, we asked if there snow chains we could use because we couldn’t get our car up the hill the next day, once the snow melted and refroze making ice. They suggested we try pouring hot water on the road. Really? For .2 miles? Where would we get hot water if we can’t access the property? We had a friend with a 4WD vehicle drive up from Trinidad to get us to the property the second day. But by the third day we were on our own again. We had hoped the ice would melt because the temps got up above freezing during the day (barely), but it didn’t probably because it stayed in the shade all day with cold winds blowing. We ended up leaving the property two days early and renting a hotel room in Manitou Springs. What was supposed to be a relaxing and fun birthday trip turned out to be nothing but a headache, and expensive because we had to pay for three nights in hotels that we didn’t plan on.
Clean and very spacious. It was nice to have the room to stretch out and enjoy. Close to everything.
Enjoyed our stay very much. Well appointed and comfortable. One suggestion is to put instructions on how to get the grill and fire pit table turned on with the gas. We had looked forward to using thoset, but didn’t get to because by the time we got those instructions it was too late.
Quite adequate
Very clean, well appointed and super comfortable beds. Love the outdoor space. Walking distance to town and short drives to hiking trails, Pikes Peak and more... Highly recommended!
