PET FRIENDLY. WALK TO SANDYNECK BEACH

The location was fantastic! That being said, the property itself was very disappointing. Toilet wasn't cleaned, appliances dusty, couches were filled with debris in between cushions.Listing stated 3 queen beds but there were only two. We were 6 people and there were 5 thin bath towels available. Was supposed to have 4-6 beach- only 2 available. Had to purchase even the bare basics like dish detergent, hand soap, paper towels. Some Electrical outlets were not covered. Bathroom fan sounded like a jet airliner. Just not a very clean or well-maintained home, which was very disappointing.

Look. I wanted to be not harsh here but seriously please do not book this place. Idk if they just haven't checked on the property in a year but the reviews are SO much nicer than the actual house is. The toilet seats were cracked. There were exposed wires everywhere in the bathrooms and the light was this crazy loud and out of code heat lamp in the downstairs bathroom. Then all the windows were sealed shut with poorly screwed in plexy glass. The closet in the upstairs room had this strange stain all over it and the floors were cracked everywhere. The furniture too was very old and very stained. There were also several random holes in the walls and one of the decks felt very old and not up to code at all. Look. Im all for old houses, I'm all for cute cape cottages, but this house has been neglected. It's not just that it's old. It's sad too because the location is amazing and everything was simple but unfortunately too good to be true. If the owners just put in a couple weekends worth of work this could be a seriously wonderful place. It's a shame to see it in such disrepair. I hope the owners see this and maybe can make some changes. I'm seriously worried one spark could be fatal - that whole house is not up to code.

The location is fantastic and the spot has a ton of potential. However, the pictures were outdated. The house was not clean , there were bugs in the kitchen and black mold on the walls. Some windows were broken and were replaced with plastic. Hopefully this place gets the love and attention it needs.

Great place to stay. Comfortable and close to the beach. It was perfect for our little Cape Cod getaway.

This is a great location, however the building needs lots of attention. The drains are clogged, the bathroom van is broken and very loud, light switches need replacing and electrical upgrades are necessary.Also, the description says 3 queen beds. There were 2 full size and 5 twins. This was disappointing.

Surprised and grateful to find a mini split in the main living space as we were there during a heat wave. Short walk to the dunes and trails at the beach gatehouse.

Great location and the house has an interesting layout that suited our purposes. Lots of space. The house was very dirty when we arrived and there seemed to have been miscommunication from VRBO to the owner as we were told: the house hadn't been booked since December, there were contractors in and out, and the owner hadn't been made aware of our booking so didn't know it had to be cleaned. In any case, we were refunded the cleaning fee on the first day, as we were tasked with the work that was required to get a house somewhat clean after not being rented for a while, which was pretty overwhelming ahead of trying to host a family dinner the day we arrived. Laundry, cleaning floors, scrubbing bathrooms and the kitchen, running dishwasher as the sink was filled with old dirty dishes, vacuuming, making beds, etc. We were not reimbursed for cleaning supplies and the incidentals that are typically in a short term rental, such as hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels and the like. Great communication - The owner promptly refunded the cleaning fee and the property manager responded to communication very quickly - was very helpful and efficient. As for the condition of the house, lots of other reviews seem to be pretty accurate. Sweet house, well loved, could be more updated and looked after in terms of general maintenance and upkeep, but it is indeed a sweet house. May the odds be ever in your favor for your stay!

The home location is GREAT ! The home layout was open and worked well for our needs. The drinking water was not good. when flushing the toilet there was a strong smell of sulfur. Be sure to buy water and everything you think you will need . Enjoy the walks on the beach!

To start I tried contacting the owner five times and each call was disconnected. The rental has potential but has not updated their photos on the listing or addressed any of the issues dating all the way back to 2021. There are several issues with this rental. I was there over Christmas and unfortunately was unable to host my family as I had intended. the grill is disgusting, the long dining room table of eight chairs Only two of them were safe, there’s 2 broken windows with packing tape, holding them together, broken thermostats, broken radiators hanging off walls, duck tape around windows, closet doors either off or falling off, cabinet doors Fell off and were never replaced or fixed, Light fixture fell off in my hand due to it being taped on with packing tape to the wall. There are many things wrong with this place that have not been addressed that other people gave in their reviews including cleanliness. I am Very disappointed and I feel some of these issues are a safety hazard especially for a little kids. Renters beware. I’m sure the owner will reach out at some point to smooth this over but my concern is that these have still not been addressed dating back to 2021 To include a fireplace that has no plug to plug it in. My family and I spent three nights here; it was a perfect long weekend on the cape. The location is second to none—you can walk to the beautiful Sandy Neck Beach and lots of local stores nearby. The house is large enough for several kids and adults to have their space. The host was very responsive to all my questions. We’ll be back for sure.

Property perfect for family vacation with pets!

We rented this property to attend a baseball tournament with a total of 4 teenagers and 4 adults, along with 3 small dogs. It offered a spacious setup, separate rooms, and plenty of seating inside and out. We had a mixup with the house cleaner - but that was quickly solved and it didn’t hamper our stay. It’s a quick walk to the beach (bring shoes to wear as it is super rocky and does hurt your feet) it’s cost money to park- so it’s best to walk. It’s secluded offering you private outside enjoyment. There are several rooms that have AC. This was important during our stay as the weather was hot and humid. Not all rooms have this, it was a little uncomfortable for the kids. Funky electrical stuff, outlet upstairs is finicky - I thought we lost power but was just a loose cord. It was simple and perfect! Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in the house very much ...More than enough room for all of us .The new deck was used everyday .The kids loved the basement living area . Would love to rent the house again in the future . The community was great as well .We had a great family getaway

We enjoyed a family vacation including grandparents, adult children and young grandchildren. Dee, the property manager was very quick to respond to our questions throughout our stay. The cottage is in a great location; just a nice walk down to Sandy Neck beach which is free for walk ins, fee to enter and park; the beaches and dunes go on for miles Pros: locatio, cleanliness, lots of towels, bedding, cleaning supplies and kitchen supplies, yard area and lots of parking and quick response of property manager Cons: older electrical in house so had to find and reset breakers if air conditioner and microwave on at same time, open stairs not safe for babies and toddlers, outdoor furniture not cleaned and there is quite a bit of poison ivy in the area
