Pet-Friendly Retreat with Pool and Hot Tub Near the Beach!

The host company was great, proactively communicated several times, rental was ready about 30 minutes early, and it was clean. The location is walking distance from roughly 10 restaurants, multiple shops, a small grocery store, and most importantly... the beach. There was a beach wagon and two beach chairs available for us when we stayed as well. Not sure if they came with the unit or were left by prior guests, but they were an excellent surprise. The pool and hot tub were excellent and clean. Pro tip: read the book in the unit to understand how the pool heat system works. Basically push the spa button the wall and it only heats, hot. When that is off the heater warms both the pool and spa. The unit has all the basic needs and a good fridge with ice maker. It would be helpful if they supplied a few garbage bags versus the one you start with as we scrambled at departure at 6am to get all the garbage packaged up. The washer and dryer both worked fine. The dryer was pretty noise though. On two of the listing pictures, is lists the Master bedroom as a King, it is definitely not a king. The bed listings lower on VRBO listing show it as a queen, that is accurate. Great location and we'd definitely go back.

The location was amazing! Only feedback would be the master bathroom is dated and cleanliness of the bedroom and bathroom doors around the knobs.

I love the house. I have a great time with my family, private, close to everything, restaurant, beach and the pool and the riquisimo jacuzzi... and an excellent service of costumer service

Great location. Walking distance of beach, restaurants, and shops.

Pros: Proximity to the beach was great (2-3 short blocks) The backyard with large pool and hot spa was amazing Close to a couple little shops with food and necessities Comfortable furniture (hard to believe in a vacation home, right?) Cons: Hard to keep temp comfortable due to elevated home; room in front of the house remained a bit too warm for people to sleep well Pool stays leafy / buggy no matter how many times you skim it (not important to us but maybe important to others) Water leaks from slight to moderate in master bed / bath (the ceiling above the counter was horror movie level bad haha) Note - Some of the water damage may have been new but some of it was definitely pre-existing the recent storm. Ugly ceiling spots didn't ruin my vacation but I was a little concerned about the possibility of mold.

The place was great! The pool was fun and we were walking distance to the beach and great restaurants. The host was responsive and helpful when we had questions.

This did not feel like a beach vacation home. Shutters made it feel very dark and isolated from the the beautiful surroundings. The primary bedroom advertised a king size bed, it was not, it was a queen. Response from management was that “furnishings are subject to change.” The walls, doors, and baseboards were dirty and in bad condition, some rotting and/or damaged throughout the home. The steps leading up to the front door are in bad need of sanding and repainting. The outdoor pool area was run down - umbrella was broken and falling apart, part of the siding was melted, yard was not cleaned up or trimmed, and debris/fallen mangoes were left behind in the yard. The pool was upwards of 93 degrees. The gulf was cooler than the pool. Hot water was coming from the jets yet we were told multiple times the heater was not on. It did not cool down at all until the last day. It felt like we were staying at a run down hotel. We have stayed on AMI 6-7 times and this was by far the most disappointing experience.
