Pet-Friendly Home Near Dallas w/ Private Backyard

The sad thing about this place is it could have been nice. Someone spent a lot of money on this remodel. The kitchen has a beautiful island, gorgeous countertops, a gas stove, & a sensored garbage. All the drawers were slow close, & the bathrooms were fantastic. But this place hasn't had a proper cleaning in awhile. There were dog mess stains in all the bedrooms, a funky smell when we walked in, & garbage under one of the beds. A couple of the beds looked like someone had slept in them & had not been changed. All the dishes in the cabinet were dirty or dusty. None of the interior doors shut properly & the bathroom door lock was broken. The door at the end had damage to it & the knob. I know there hasn't been a cleaning service by before my visit as the first bedroom door, which sticks, was locked. When I got it open I found a watch, 2 earrings, & a bracelet in the carpet. The rugs in the master bath had fecal stains, & there were bugs everywhere. There was also what looked like vermin droppings under the sink. This place needs an exterminator. The fence out back has seen better days. It doesn't look as though it could keep animals in or out. Lastly, the AC unit isnt big enough to cool that whole house. It does a good job in the bedrooms during the evening, but the living room is always too warm & during the heat of the day it just can't keep up. Its location isn't great. Overall the place has potential, but it needs cleaning & repairs.

Pro: Evolve management for their email regarding my stay as soon as I made reservation. Alisa was my contact and she replied quickly. AC worked great. Deep seat sofa. Smart TV in living room so I could log in to my own streaming services. Distance is ok to Giant Eye or Cinemark Dallas. Con: The info and images on the site were misleading. This home was not newly remodeled. i.e. lose bathroom faucet and no toilet paper holders. I could tell the cleaning crew only cleaned minimum, i.e. floor felt dusty, hair in tub, gum under coffee table. Not HOA neighborhood (lawns were not well maintained include this rental) Very crowded like cars parked on both sides street so it turned into a one way street. Very dangerous and inconvenient trying to leave and come back.

Alisa is awesome and a very kind host. She was quick to respond and answer questions. The beds were comfy, the yard worked great for the dog, and it was a very nice stay.
