Overall we had a good stay. The house is quaint and dated, but served its purpose. We had a couple issues that were reported to Meredith Lodging upon checkout.
Outside the cabin: Gross. Debris everywhere. Pieces of the wall of the cabin lying in the bushes as you pull up, dog feces, beer caps, cigarette butts, empty buckets, ripped up blue tarp, a broken ski pole, pieces of plastic, broken snow toys, rusted paint cans, five different mats thrown all over the entrance, etc. We were in shock how unkempt the outside was, especially being this is the first impression you get of your rental. Inside the cabin: Disgusting. The housekeeper is either negligent or incompetent, in this case, likely both. Men’s dirty underwear in the closet, spiderwebs EVERYWHERE. Dust throughout so thick it’s caked on the shelves, fans, just about everything. You have to take your trash to a dump site, you cannot use the outside cans. There’s a trash compactor to minimize your trips, but that’s broken. Without a doubt, the most disgusting rental I have ever stayed in. Meredith Lodging: With the exception of the very sweet lady who checked me in on the 22nd, I’m surprised this company is operational. You’ll read most reviews have the same complaints. I called and messaged to ask if these issues had been addressed, Meredith Lodging assured me they had. They most certainly had not! Before Meredith Lodging posts a generic response to this review, like, we’re sorry you weren’t satisfied with your stay, or something similar, if you really about customer satisfaction and service, you would provide me with some refund and have executive management call me.
Beautiful setting and views of the Lake and surrounding mountains. Got to fish one day, which was fun and relaxing. Had a great Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends.
The overall experience was good. The only thing for me was that it needs more cleanliness. There were spider webs on the outside of property on all windows.
We had a great stay over the Fourth of July holiday. The location of this property is phenomenal right on the water. The house itself is very, very dated and could use some updates. We had to wash the deck and front steps off because they were so dirty just so we could use it. When the description says it has its own dock- there is no usable dock…. We were with family so we had a great time.
Yes, this house is on the lake (!) and is as pictured. What is not pictured are the cobwebs on every window. The primary bedroom has no window coverings (so, our whole group was up before 6 AM). The motif is what it is - cerca 1980s. This includes the carpet which has been kept up but does not make it any more fresh. The layout of the house is great. The deck is big. Half the deck furniture is broken. You get what you pay for :)
The view was really pretty and had a lot of space for the kids to play in the snow and it was really warm inside
Old mold dirt wrong advertisement. Horrible property management broken barbecue broken garbage disposal.......
