Even better in person than in its pictures! Very comfortable attractive home with balconies on both floors. Quiet neighborhood. Clean & well kept, everything worked. Well stocked with dishes & cookware. We enjoyed walking our dogs around the lake. Halfway in between Durango & Silverton, there was a lot to do in both places. We'd be happy to stay here again!

Wonderful well-appointed and set-up condo. Love that it is the 2nd street up from the highway (more quiet, although there is construction across Tourmaline). Little amenity kits were nice/thouhtful. Close to hikes (Purgatory Creek is two blocks down, and managed running path around the pond. Lot's of wildlife viewing in July - muskrats, ducks and ducklings, snakes, horned-lizards, many bird species, elk, deer, and bear. Striking distance to Molas Pass & lakes, and to Silverton. Much to do at Purgatory if you want a more urban experience. Great place to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the condo is very nice and the kitchen came well stocked. However when we got there the furnace was off I had to figure out or we would have froze the 1st night. The main fireplace also didn’t stay on so I kept having to restart the pilot light, sometimes 3 or 4 times just to get it to stay on. The wireless network didn’t exist either so we had to call the cable guy who told us it had reverted back to its original settings due to a power outage. Like I said, a little too much work for me on vacation. Also make sure you ask about paying the fee to use the amenities at Purg because nobody ever told me that was an option. We would’ve used the hot tub and gym had we known we could’ve paid for that option.

Explosives were used for several days with no warning.

We loved the condo it was beautiful. It did not have an ac but we found a fan and slept with the windows open. The only complaint, they were doing construction all week. We woke up to heavy machinery running early every morning.

We loved the area & view. It was furnished quite well. It was a bit warmer than expected & would have liked to have had air conditioning, but understood it isn’t usually common to be that warm & to require it. We enjoyed our stay. ?

The oven did not work properly so we had to borrow from a friend staying close by. This was big inconvenience. Also upstairs fireplace not working. Needed blinds on downstairs windows.

The hot tubs are a transfer away, but the master bathroom has an awesome jetted tub so that did the trick. Purgatory in general is a great value. The newly renovated hot springs are a short drive from the property and they are wonderful.
