Stayed Feb 14, 2020This was our 2nd visit to Buchanan Lodge. We love the quiet lakeside location with easy access to town, Diamond Lake, Mt Roy and Mt Aspiring hikes. The views and stargazing our amazing. The home is perfectly designed to accommodate multiple families and accords lots of privacy in the bedrooms and bath as well as the kitchen and living room areas. For this visit we were 2 couples and 1 individual. We each had our own room and bath. For 2 couples you can arrange the rooms for 2 separate suites. We really enjoyed swimming in the lake and the kayaks. Buchanan Lodge is beautifully furnished. We love sitting on the lawn and my husband enjoys the gas-fired hot-tub. This is my friends favorite homeaway! We'll definately be back on our next trip to NZ.
