Stayed Jun 27, 2025The house worked great for our needs-- the location is really close to Elk Ave and the number of bathrooms and bedrooms was perfect. Sure, it's not newly remodeled, but everything was clean and worked well. Planning on returning next summer and staying here again.

Stayed Jul 9, 2022The location and main living area of this house is good, but there is stuff everywhere and you really feel that you are staying in someone else's old house. The mattresses were terrible; at least 25 years old with springs completely shot. I ended up sleeping on the bunk bed because at lease there was support. The carpets are stained, there is stuff and stuffed animals EVERYWHERE. It really brings to light the fact that staying in a rental property is nice when it's a RENTAL property and not just someone else's house unless it's done right. With CB's popularity, the owners would do well to purchase new mattresses and bedding, replace the carpeting, fix the broken windows, and in general just declutter and clean the entire house. One can live with out-of-date bathrooms and kitchens, but when you feel like you are staying in someone else's unclean and overstuffed home, it is not comfortable.

Stayed Dec 30, 2019Overall, this was a great property. The location was reasonably close to a bus stop to catch the Mountain Shuttle. A little bit of a walk to restaurants and shops, but not bad! As for the property, here are my notes: The good: Property was clean - a must! Easy in and out. Keys were easy to access and we had no problems getting in. Well-stocked kitchen with a comfortable dining table. Easy to use televisions in living room and in all of the bedrooms - that was a plus. Very nice, large, comfortable seating in the living room. This is sometimes a hard one to find in rental properties, so thanks! We also appreciated all of the windows having coverings, this is not always true of rental properties! Washing machine and dryer were high-quality and worked perfectly. The third bedroom with the bunk beds was ideal for kiddos! Other notes: Although this is common in rental properties (and we have stayed in many!), mattresses were fairly uncomfortable by today's standards, although I know personal preferences vary. I would also suggest leaving some good instructions to the Nest thermostats / radiant heating for guests, the radiant heat system is probably a new phenomenon for most guests and the Nest seemed to run that system differently than what we were used to. We also were not sure if the other thermostats in each room worked, didn't work or were just outdated. Overall, we enjoyed staying here and would do it again. We love CB!

Stayed Aug 3, 2019We were very disappointed in this house. The home was said to be charming new townhouse. It is not new. The furnishings, linens and towels were old, worn and seemed dirty. One window was completely broken and had wooden boards replacing the glass. All the windows were old and most didn't work properly (when you unlock the window to push the bottom one up, the top window pane would fall down). It is necessary to have properly working windows in Crested Butte during the summer because there is no AC and you need to let in the cool air. Two of the three TVs did not work. When I asked the property manager about this she said that they were aware that 2 didn't work because the owners didn't purchase cable boxes for them. Those TVs should be removed if you aren't planning to have them for the guests to use. The bathrooms are old and dirty. There is only one bathroom downstairs for the 3 bedrooms. The other full bathroom is upstairs where there are no bedrooms. This would have been useful information to know since all the bedrooms basically share one bathroom. The toilet in that downstairs bathroom overflowed. The property manager did get a plumber over quickly to fix it. The location is okay- it is close to everything in town but it is also very close to the main highway so you do hear cars all night long. The backyard is shared with the duplex neighbors (wish that had been stated in the description). The carpet is very dirty and the house smelled. Overall, we were VERY disappointed in this house. We were supposed to stay and had paid for 7 nights but we left after 4 nights because the house was so bad.

Stayed Jun 21, 2019This duplex is very spacious and comfortable. My daughter and I stayed for a week. We liked the location since it's not right in town, but an easy walk. The amenities are many which made it easy for us to cook meals. We liked lounging in the large living room and out on the deck with a great view of Mt Crested Butte. My only complaint was that there are too many hunting trophies - don't like looking at dead animal heads - not our thing.
