Perfect Kailua Vacation at Ka Hale Lai-House of Serenity-pool and spa.

This house was perfect for our family’s visit. We came over for a cousin’s celebration of life, and this house was close to our family which made it easy to coordinate and visit with them. It was also fully stocked. It felt like a home and not just a vacation rental. It lives up to its name, House of Serenity.

We had an amazing time staying here. Everything was clean, and as described. Our host was responsive and helpful. Having a washer and dryer was a plus. We would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a relaxing and comfortable vacation.

The house is beautiful, especially the yard and they provide pool inflatable and beach gear which was helpful. Kitchen is well equipped. Having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was great. However the master bed and bath are only accessible by walking outside to pool area and going back in through a separate door. Also there is no door on the master bathroom. Air conditioning in each room was wonderful. There was a very loud water hammer in the first bathroom off the kitchen whenever the toilet was flushed. Host was responsive. I was worried about the location being noisy as it backs up to a main road and the Kaneohe marine base, but it was quiet. We very rarely heard any traffic noise. Being in Kailua was great to be close to Kailua and Lanikai beaches but any activities in Honolulu or Waikiki were approx a 30 min drive. The house is close enough to walk to the water but not to a beach that you can swim at. Swimming beaches are a short drive about 10 min away. Also most of the sliding doors on the house can't be locked which was concerning to me. It seems like a safe neighborhood but I like to be able to lock up valuables. We would recommend this house and would love to visit again.

We enjoyed our 5 day stay and especially enjoyed the use of the pool and all the different pool toy equipment. The extras like beach towels and ice chest were also appreciated. The home was clean, spacious and well equipped for our party of 6. The only suggestion is to have at least one extra toilet paper roll in each bathroom, an extra paper towel roll and hand soap for all the sinks. The neighborhood was quiet and the yard was beautiful. Contacting the owners by text made communication easy.

The house was exactly as described and couldn’t have been more perfect from location to amenities. The hosts were very responsive, very accommodating and answered all our questions quickly. We are already planning another vacation to stay at this exceptional property. I can’t recommend this property enough and wish I could give them 10 stars!!M!

Our group loved this home. The layout is bright and open and has multiple spots to tuck in and visit or find some privacy. The pool, hot tub and outdoor space were highlights. Kitchen was well equipped and super functional.

The house had everything we needed kitchen fully stocked. Lovely location; short drive to everywhere we wanted to go.

We had a wonderful stay with our family celebrating our 25th anniversary. Communication with the host was great and the little issues we had were promptly addressed. Would highly recommend!

We had an unforgettable stay here.The garden was amazingly beautiful and incredibly spacious, truly beyond our expectations.The house was very clean, well-organized, and well maintained.There were plenty of pool toys and even cooking ingredients already prepared, which made our stay especially comfortable and convenient.The host was extremely kind and responsive, answering every question quickly and thoughtfully.We spent such a memorable time with our family, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to share this wonderful space.It left us with such great memories that we would absolutely love to stay here again on our next visit. Wonderful stay. Home was excellent and a real treat to be able to just relax and fully enjoy our time visiting the island. The rooms and especially the bathrooms were very nicely decorated and the A/C worked very well. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us.

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful home. It's located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood and is incredibly convenient—super close to grocery stores and restaurants, and just a short walk to the beach. We encountered a couple of minor issues during our stay, and the host was wonderfully responsive and addressed them immediately. Our family had a great time, and we would happily recommend this home to anyone looking for a perfect spot in the Kailua area.

Nice property, quiet safe neighborhood. Hot tub did not go above room temperature; it was just a tub...disappointing after spending the day hiking. BBQ grill was gross, and we were not in the mood to clean it. Beverage cooler was also disgusting. Lights under the patio umbrella did not work. Smoke detectors were missing from the ceiling mounts in the living room and master suite. No indoor fireplace but there was an outdoor fire pit, no coffee grinder and the fridge ice maker also didn't work. Minor inconveniences but if it is listed on the profile, it should be provided. Paid the asking price but did not get all the listed amenities.

Great place to relax with many options for small or large gatherings. The kitchen was great for cooking and we enjoyed the outdoor dining table for dinner with friends. Would definitely stay again!

A perfect home away from home! This house has everything needed for a great vacation, just bring your bathing suit! The pool and hot tub are sublime! Plenty of room for a large group. Quiet location close to beautiful beaches and great restaurants! The local Kailua Farmer’s Market is soooooo good!! Would love to stay here again!

Property was conveniently located. Kailua is a great town with beautiful beaches and things to do daily. Driving to Waikiki, Kahlua Ranch, and Diamond Head was easy. For military families this property is conveniently located adjacent to the Marine base.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The pool and jacuzzi were a hit with the kids and the patio area was a nice place to hang out and play games for the adults. The backyard had plenty of space for my son and I to play catch.We appreciated the quietness of the area and being a bit off the traditionally beaten path. You aren't so far away from stuff that getting anywhere on the island didn't feel like a real trek.The best beach we visited in our week long stay was the one just down the road from the house. If you're anything like me or my family, you like not having all the chaos of Wikiki and having your own little oasis beach with limited numbers of people.The lone compliant we had about the house was that the walls are pretty thin, so if you're a light sleeper, anticipate a little bit of noise from your other housemates. All in all, we absolutely loved our stay and already miss the home.

Beautiful house, beautiful pool. Washer was helpful and worked well. Only two kid challenges were that the lava rock edges on the pool were a little rough for the kids, and one of the bedrooms is only accessible via the backyard/pool area.

What a great place to stay! If you are thinking about staying in the Kailua area, this is a perfect house. Great layout, super clean, nice neighborhood and close to the beach! This was our third time staying in Kailua and this house was easily the best. We'd definitely go back.

The house, location, amenities made this home a home away from home. The backyard is a family oasis for all ages and enough space to have some quiet time if needed. We hope to visit again soon!

The house and the grounds more than lived up to the pictures. The location was close to everything. The house was stocked with everything we needed and more. I wouldn’t give it just 5 stars but 100 if I could.

The house was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed the pool and spa. Plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen sink needed a little attention, backed up some times. Overall enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Our family of seven enjoyed our weeklong stay at this beautiful home in a residential area of Kailua. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Safeway market was walking distance for supplies. The backyard has a lively pool and spa. There’s a beautiful beach a 20 minute walk from the house and the town of Kailua is a short drive. Beach towels & chairs were provided too. Highly recommend staying at this wonderful home..

Very convenient location to beautiful beaches, restaurants and shopping. We were in Kailua for two of our teens gymnastic competition. The pool was a bit cool but the girls made great use of it every day. And the hot tub was wonderful after long days. The house was very well stocked.

It was perfect. Incredible location. Beautiful property that was great for our 4 year old. Couldn’t have asked for better.

We loved everything about the house and the area we stayed in.

We had 3 couples and each couple had their own BR and bathroom. The hot tub and pool were a great way to relax when we returned from our adventures each day. There are large indoor common spaces including a spacious kitchen, living and family rooms. On top of that is a great covered outdoor sitting and dining area by the pool. The location lends itself to exploring the North Shore, Waikiki, the pali lookout and hiking, etc.
