Our High Valley House is a wonderful place that has been our family home for the last 20+ years. Love at first site is what made us buy it and will make you glad that you are here. Sit in the porch swing or hammock and take in the miles-long view, or enjoy it through the huge windows that surround the house. Better yet, join up around the fire-pit or soak in the hot tub. Easy access to a 4-lane Highway, but very secluded. Close to the NOC, whitewater, Tsali mountain biking, Appalachian Trail,Lake Fontana, Tail of the Dragon for motorcycles, Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Cherokee Casino.

The house layout works great for separating the guests. The master bedroom is on the main level with a Queen bed and the jetted tub with windows to the world. Downstairs, there is the King bedroom, the Double bedroom, and a Kids room with a dual twin bed trundle. There is also a separate full bathroom and laundry downstairs. Outside exits from both ends of the downstairs give you easy access to the yard and hot tub. You can relax upstairs and put the kids and in-laws downstairs, or switch. Everyone can re-group on the main level with the open kitchen that is great for visiting and enjoying the views out the over-size windows.

If you are in the area to ride your motorcycle on the amazing mountain roads, this house will make a great central base for exploring. There is a huge covered area under the front deck that you can ride into and out of. There is only a short stretch of level gravel road coming into the neighborhood, otherwise all pavement access including the driveway.

Cyclists will appreciate the covered bike wash area to work on and leave their bikes

Fisherman will enjoy the easy access to the Nantahala and Little Tennessee Rivers and Lake Fontana.

There are great quiet walks right from the house and folks with a little adventure can even hike all the way down to the Nature Conservancy tracts of the Needmore Tract on the Little Tennessee River.

All this, yet the house is very easy to access and is only 15 minutes from Bryson City.

We had an excellent stay at this Vrbo property. The home was spotless, well-stocked, and exactly as described in the listing. Check-in was smooth, and the host was responsive and friendly throughout our visit. The location was perfect—close to everything, yet quiet and relaxing. We especially loved the beautiful outdoor space. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway. This rental made our vacation truly stress-free. Highly recommend!

House was as described. Location is excellemt for both playing on the Nantahala and also for doing activities in Bryson City. The house is private, was clean, had a lovely porch with an *amazing* view, and our host was was very easy to communicate with. We will definitely rent again!!

Our family does a mountain cabin getaways every other year therefore we have done many. I was telling my wife that this cabin was the best we have ever stayed at and she agreed. The view is amazing, the cabin is incredibly clean, tastefully decorated and easy to navigate with little handwritten notes and signs that are part of a larger aesthetic. On our trip home we were talking about going back to the same cabin next time because it was just that comfortable for us. Campfires in the evenings overlooking the view, plenty of space for 5 adults to sleep comfortably. My daughter loved the loft and stayed there along with our Portuguese Water Dog. He had a blast with the freedom to run around outside, no leash and more smells than he had ever seen. It is secluded enough that you don't have to worry about visitors and your dog being off leash. Our whole family highly recommends this cabin. From all of our trips of this type from over the years this has been our favorite. The price is excellent and worth the investment.

We loved our time at this house and the views were amazing! The house was large as we had 9 people and still had plenty of room. The Host was very kind and responded quickly with any concerns we had, would definitely stay again!

We loved everything about this place! It was so clean and homey. We spent mornings in the porch in the swing and in the hammock watching the sun come up and enjoying the spectacular view. The home has plenty of space and our family of 7 had lots of room to spread out. The host was easy to communicate with . We highly recommend this home and are so grateful to our hosts for making it available.

We had a FABULOUS time staying in this beautiful home. Kent was such a great host! My wife and I had planned this weekend getaway for whitewater rafting at the NOC (only 11 minutes from the house) with her parents, our two children ages 10 and 8, and our 2 yr old Golden Retriever. The house was just perfect for our stay. Very clean, spacious, beautiful mountain views, and the A/C kept the house nice and cool even in those hot 90+ degree days in mid-July. The dam went down for unplanned maintenance on the day of our rafting trip, but Kent was very flexible and helpful in working with us to accommodate our adjusted schedule. Excellent communication, quick, clear, and overall great experience. Thanks so much! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the view, swing and hot tub. The host was very friendly and helpful. It was close to everything but in the woods so there wasn’t a lot of noise. It was also pretty clean. It definitely could use some remodeling though. Several doors not working properly and was a little musty smelling. But overall we would stay here again.
