Perfect Cottage, Perfect Location, Perfect Beach!

The perfect summer cottage.

This sweet little house is just a 5 min walk thru a quiet neighborhood path that leads to some stairs down to a beautiful sandy beach. We are an older couple so we took a long morning walk on the beach and through the neighborhood, enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and took a hike at Warren Woods State Park (not much to see there though). Families with young kids parked their supply wagons at the top of the stairs that leads to the beach. It is a very quiet stretch of public beach because it’s tucked back into a neighborhood and there’s no on street parking back there. The cottage is non fussy and clean with one bedroom and a pulldown Murphy bed in the large living room. There is no side or backyard just the front yard with angled parking spots right in front. Had everything we needed for a short stay. There is plenty of neighborhood food and treats that we could have walked to in about 20 mins but we chose to drive and explore for food. New Buffalo is right down the road about a 5 min drive away for groceries and supplies. This cottage was just what we needed for a short getaway!

This is a great cottage. It was our second time staying there. The walk to the beach is short, the other neighbors have always been quiet and nice. It's a great location, close to the beach and in a very walkable and bikeable neighborhood.

Charming, well appointed, and relaxing. One can tell that much thought and love has been poured the Cottage East of Eden. We also appreciate the helpful and detailed instructions provided regarding the use and care of the property. Thank you Teri and Perry for a delightful stay in Union Pier!

The cottage was perfect for my stay. I mostly just slept and showered there. I did make coffee and used a few cups. Since there was no dish soap, I used hand soap to wash the dishes. (not ideal in my opinion) There was a lot of noise in the cottage, waking me up several times. I know the large pine tree would drop pine cones, making a loud thud. Overall, it was an excellent location for my needs.

We loved staying at the cottage, the cute trail down to the beach was magical and so peaceful—highly recommended!

Husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. It’s a cute little cottage, has everything you need. But the best part is the 5-10 minute walk to places like Tapa Taco and Black Currant Bakehouse. The beach has quite a few stairs down but the walk from the cottage is very reasonable and pleasant.

This cozy cottage was a short walk to a great coffee place, groceries and farmers' market. The short path to the beach and amazing sunsets was a lovely experience by itself, along a grove of towering spruce. The cottage is small but has everything you need. We recommend East of Eden Cottage.

Spent a long weekend at this cottage and enjoyed it very much. Close to the beach and walking distance to a bakery and restaurants. Definitely recommend this property for a pleasant getaway.

Not crazy about the parking, they definitely need to get a new lock on the front foor! It was a struggle to get in the house every time! No dishwasher. Could walk down a trail to the neach, but for people in their seventies, steps down to beach too difficult if carrying items! Town is cute, we did go other places to shop, nice restaurants and bakery close by and Warren Dunes ! Good antiqueing! Dogs enjoyed the walks!

Cottage couldnt have been in a better location. We loved the beach, the neighborhood, the nearby restaurants and farm stands. We'd definitely return.

Great neighborhood & easy walk to the beach.

Loved the quaint neighborhood, loved walking around with Hazel and enjoying all the beautiful landscape yards, also just a short walk to the quiet beach. Loved walking to get dinner. And enjoying the spectacular sunsets. Only thing I wished the cottage had was some outdoor seating to enjoy a meal after cooking on the grill. The location was awesome. Just a short drive to new buffalo and Michigan city.

This was a great spot for a weekend getaway for 2! Small space but the vaulted ceilings and windows made it seem bigger. Beach time was great. The weather was mild despite being late July, but so nice The

Loved it so much we plan to come again next year.

The cottage is very cute. Check in instructions are very thorough and go through all the various aspects on how to use everything in the cottage. Easy walk to two public beaches and easy walk to multiple food and market options.

Had a great stay as always.
