Borrego Springs, California
Just a few minutes from downtown Borrego Springs. Home is conveniently located behind Borrego Springs resort. This 3 bedroom 2 bath home features a nicely sized kitchen Granite countertops & tile floors. Off the kitchen is the dining room with a large window. The living room is spacious and inviting. The main bedroom has a en-suite w/ double sinks bathtub and separate shower! The home is ideally located on a very nice street!
All went well, had a great stay at this house.
Despite what the previous reviews said, we found the property very clean. Yes, there were items stored there by the owner but since our stay was only a few days I didn’t feel like the inability to unpack completely was a big deal. The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance, dish and utensil you could possibly need. The walking paths on the now defunct golf course directly out the back door were a nice perk and we used them every day. The only complaint is that we were only provided a key to the back door, but not the deadbolt on the back door. It makes it a bit inconvenient when returning back to the house to have someone run around to the back to get inside and then open the front door for every one else. Also don’t bolt the back door when leaving and then walk out the front, you will be locked out. Speaking from experience... Overall, we found the home very comfortable and a good location. We would definitely stay here again.
Three bedroom, two bath single story home located on former gold course. Fun to walk on the golf cart path seeing the birds and mountain views.
I have to agree with the February review left by Barbie E. We had to do significant cleaning upon arrival because of sticky kitchen countertops, toaster oven with lots of grease partly due to no drip pan, hairs in bathtubs and bath trashcans that had not been emptied, etc. Toilets had clearly not been cleaned routinely. We didn't use the dishwasher because the interior stainless steel walls and floor were coated with calcium deposits, probably from hard water. We did not turn on the Living Room ceiling fan because the blades were coated with dirt that we didn't want to circulate in the room. Also, as she said there are lots of personal items in the home and the master bedroom closet was full. Kim K commented that there was no access to the Internet. She may have thought this because there were no written instructions which are usually present in a VRBO with the WiFi password, TV and AC usage, check-out procedures, etc. I got the password by messaging the owner. Also had to message to find out how to use the garbage disposal which required having a wall switch and an under cabinet switch both in the on position.. On the plus side, bedding was clean and the mattresses were good. It is in a nice house in a very good location but not set up for guests and not properly cleaned before arrival.
Great place to stay
The house is very nice, located on resort property, which was convenient. The home is located close to the town and state park. Improvements would be access to internet. The property will be outstanding when the golf course is green again.
The property does not feel like VRBO, every cabinet, drawer, closet is filled with owners belongings. It felt like we had broken into someone’s home. The carpet looked as though it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks and there was no vacuum to be found. The bathrooms were not very clean and there was no space to store our belongings as almost all drawers and closets are full of owners things. In addition, the property is located on a defunct golf course and the power and internet were intermittent the entire 2 weeks we were there. Overall the home is fine but not set up for guests.
