Peaceful Home In The Heart of TLH

Pretty good stay, nice location, quiet and comfortable. Would definitely book again

**After working for a week with vrbo, the owner & the co. refunded & cancelled my stay.**Upon arriving to the property, I could see that it was not as pictured but similar enough I went inside to check it out. As I go from the livingroom into the kitchen - I see a slider to a sunroom that was not in home description. The sunroom is surrounded with curtains - transforming it into a movie room, which would have been a pleasant surprised, but the exterior door off the sunroom is ajar. My son immediately does a sweep of the house and finds several safety concerns: jalousie windows surroubdibg the sunroom, the slider would not lock, as well as 2 unlocked bedroom windows. This completely shattered my illusion of safety. After goinginto the backyard where I planned my dog would go out to potty or play - I realized it was completely unworkable for us. I contacted the onwer and left within the hour. The owner did not offer any help or assistance in these concerns other than to apologize for the yard not being mowed or maintained this season. (The complete backyard was a failed at-home container garden farm- complete with temporary wire fencing, which was rusty & patch). The owner offered the idea that the door was left open by the cleaner.The whole property has potential but needs some safety updates, elbow grease and re-vamped grounds.

The home was just as described and has a wonderful sunroom which was a pleasant surprise. The backyard area provides some of north Floridas beautiful azalea plants as well as a covered area to shelter from the fabled Florida showers. Beds were extremely comfortable and clean. The showers have great water pressure. Host provided clear communication. Will stay again our next visit to see family.
